Great find mate, they were the days!

Not much evidence of the Spurs fans queuing there, they must have bought their City end tickets from Wigan ;)

Strange to think though, with all the moaning about the new Wembley and 'Club Wembley'/FA taking a lot of tickets, we only got 30,000 in 1981!!
Lower capcity in 1981?

Nope. Capacity in 1981 was 100,000.

Also, if you pile up at 5.10pm, they will be more concerned about checking the bags and getting you in safely, than they will about checking the tickets[/quote]

Re bags: At the semi I had a small bottle of water in my bag (I know how to party!).
The guy checked my bag & just let me through. If he knew it was there he didn't bother..

Hi all,

Not sure my last post made it as I think i timed out, but briefly, I think the club should maybe, maybe consider, giving each season ticket holder a rough idea of where they are in the pecking list based on their loyalty points and participations on the various cup schemes.

I say this as hopefully it may help manage peoples expectations of getting a ticket or not. Obviously that 17k FAC scheme figure emerged in recent weeks so with an initial allocation of 26k tickets, people on the scheme knew they had a ticket irrespective of their loyalty point total.

With the extra allocation, I guess a large number of season ticket holders will now obtain a ticket whether they are on the scheme or not, but this year is the exception, approx 32k official tickets will not be a regular thing.

Regarding the purchasing system, this year has been miles better than 2011. Both semi final and Final tickets took 5 mins to purchase this year, and didn't need 5am starts like the two in 2011. I also haven't suffered crap bacon butties and cat pee tea this year!!

Mate of mine is on cup scheme but totally clueless with computers and he asked me to put him on my freinds and family account which I did.

I am not on the cup scheme but tried to get him a ticket today as he is permitted to do so online but because I am not on the scheme I keep getting the message not availabe to buy please see criteria.

Surely I should be able to access his tickets online even if not mine?

The replay capacity was 92,000 because that was the rule for old Wembley on a midweek. Because there was no time for the FA to distribute the tickets around the family City got 30K, Spuds got 30k and the rest were sold at Wembley ticket office. City actually got more for the replay than the final itself.
