FA Cup Ties 9/10/11 Feb

Don't get the negativity towards West ham. they don't have a striker, people suggesting they could have gone at united are very naive, just because we have the squad and players to impose our game and go for the throat of any team around doesn't mean everybody can, they don't have the players to do that and if they had tried they really would have rolled over and took a battering.

they came up with a plan to stifle them, We've seen united can struggle to break teams down when the counter isn't on and hoped for a set piece goal which they almost got in the minutes. Didn't work for them but they gave it a decent go, united were always favourites, I'm happy they took them to extra time and got some more minutes into those heavy legs of theirs.

not a bad shout. But he’s getting in the box every time we go forward as it is. Would also mean Noble coming in CM and afraid he’s legs have gone.
Rice and Souchek have a perfect understanding in the middle so wouldn’t want to break that
In my eyes, Moyes is trying to replicate his successful Everton side. Soucek is his Fellaini clone. He sometimes played him up front at Everton. Your MO is to whip crosses in. You need a target. Could JLingz/Lanzini/Benrama/Fornals not play as a number 8 until Antonio comes back?

we didn’t roll over at all.
We took Man Utd to extra time and was exceptional at the back, threw our body’s on the line at everything.
Rolling over is losing 3/4/5-0 which teams going to Man Utd do in a regular basis.

the major difference is up front they have Cavani, Martial, Rashwood, Greenwood and without Antonio. We have nothing. A 18 year old kid.

Even so we had some good periods of the match and Dawson could have grabbed a injury time winner from a corner at the end.

It wasn’t to be, Man Utd won fair and square , I hope and we should put up the same fight against Man City - but it’s still likely you will stuff us.

Lovely but one shot on goal and none on target ? Happy to have that stat against us too.

Bluehammer summed it up well , despite the shot differential and Fab making a couple of excellent decisions at close range a massive undermanned West Ham gave as good as they got.

I wouldn't be crowing with excitement of things to come if I was Manure and West Ham are definitely a shot for top 6 this year.

Like him or not Moyes has a good record in the premier league despite his time at Manure.

he is unlikely to manage a side winning the premiership but West Ham couldn't do much better given their history , resources and if any London Club are going to take the next step it could be them with what they have done off the field in recent years.

I’m disappointed for West Ham I’m sure they tried their best. Someone else will have to knock those vile rag bastards out in the next round instead. Hopefully they get drawn away somewhere tough. The cunts always seem to get a fucking home tie.

Burnley originally had an ineligible player in their starting line up. Somebody from BT told them of their error shortly before kick off.
Apparently a member of the Bournemouth back room staff highlighted this before kick off and Burnley changed the team. Sort of thing we used to do in Sunday League.

Not sure why Talksport's having a go at Moyes for taking the kid off at extra time. If you ignore the extra time, the youngster practically played till the end of the game, which is normal for any player. It's extra time, Moyes saw fit to have one last go for an equalizer and brought Lanzini on.

They should be asking instead why the rags new superstar from the academy (of Atalanta) never got off the bench in 120 minutes when he's supposed to be the next Ronaldo.

Yes, I don’t want to grumble as we’re having such a fantastic season - but getting rid of Haller and no back up Striker to Antonio could really hamper our season.

we are relying heavily on attacking mids like Benrahama, Lingard and Fornals.

and we are a massive threat from set pieces , so much Ariel height. We will be ok but my optimism for top 6 is a big ask without more attacking threat.
This Ariel?
