It's sad that so-called fans of the game have so little respect for one of the best players to have graced the Premiership.
I remember the standing ovation that City fans gave Thierry Henry when he was substituted at Maine Road after he & Arsenal tore us apart & were 4-0 by half time. Appreciation for a great player.

I seem to remember Henry being on the bench for this game. I remember being disappointed he wasn’t starting. I also remember the appreciation the City fans showed Arsenal that night.

Its a stupid rule. Not sure why football is so behind other sports when it comes to rules. Just have a time keeper who isnt the ref . If the player being subbed takes ten mins to walk off then the clock is stopped for 10 mins.
When a player has to walk past opposing fans then this was always going to happen.
Theyll change the rules again now. Football rule makers are so reactive rather than proactive

Rugby do a lot of things so much better than football.

They’ve been using VAR for years too. It actually enhances the excitement and fairness of the game rather than being the bent, opaque charade it is in football.

Every time the keeper takes longer than , say, 20 seconds on a goal kick
… STOP THE CLOCK!!

Every time a sub is made, an injury, any break in play, just stop that fuckin clock. I pay to see a game of football for 90 mins. Not 55 mins or whatever the average is.
