ban.

while agreeing 100% with your sentiments mate, this statement isn't correct. at this stage there is no indication that ade will be banned for his celebration and no decision will be made before the 30th which is the deadline for ade's response to the charge of improper conduct. if it's not too late i suggest you omit this from your letter until and unless ade does get banned for it.

Dear Sir,
Double standards here by the F.A., so basically the referee is completely redundant now, because despite giving a yellow card for the celebration by Adebayor who stayed "on the pitch" and standing on top of the players, as the two-footed challenge by Robin Van Persie and off-balance fall by Adebayor was taking place.
The media and FA are now going to decide how to referee the game after the fact by using video evidence which is not allowed by FIFA.
What a complete joke the league is becoming. A sad day for football, referees, and the media for this hypocritical lynching of Adebayor and City.
This was a witch hunt orchestrated by the Media and the F.A. against Adeybayor and Manchester City football club.
Nothing has been said in the media about the Arsenal fans appalling behaviour, or that of Robin Van Persie's celebration in front of the City fans "off the pitch" and two footed challenge on Adebayor. What action are you going to take against Arsenal and Robin Van Persie.
The main point of my E-mail is to draw your attention to the fact that if the Arsenal fans get away with having a player banned or fined when they invade the pitch after a goal celebration you will be held responsible for large numbers of fans invading the pitch and rioting up and down the country in order to get opposition players BANNED.

I sent the F.A. another E-mail as there was no reply to my first, and added some more about rioting.

Yeah I know. Thought about that after I hit the send button. Nevertheless, he will get banned. And also whether he does or not, it does not change the fact that RVP should have got an immediate yellow for straying off the pitch and should also be subject to whatever scrutiny Ade is being subjected to. He is not.

That was an interesting case. The assistant certainly saw it and signalled to the referee (Riley?). But he had already wrongly sent Lampard off and had apparently told his assistants that he would not take action unless he had seen the incident himself.

So he effectively admitted he hadn't seen it but retrospective action couldn't be taken because the assistant had. If that's not the ultimate get-out clause....

Complete with commentary:

This one is actually funny, it's so bad. And no, nothing was done, was it.

Was anything at all ever done about that? fine, warning?
Nothing linesman saw it so they couldn't act "apparently"
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...fender-Bosingwa-kick-Liverpools-Benayoun.html

"The officials did not punish Bosingwa and, under FIFA law, the FA are prohibited from taking disciplinary action when incidents are seen at the time by the match officials."

Doh, didn't it occur to them they should just get the official to lie his fucking arse off???? That's what they do when they are dealing with teams outside the top 4. Dummies!

Then they could have banned Bosingwa... oh wait.. hang on a minute... we can't have that, can we.
