Here is a post from sayyadati that I pinched from the 'Vidic faces ban' thread'. Unfortunately I can't play the clip due to copyright reasons but we all recall what we saw for sure.
It is of course one of the incidents I've asked the FA about, and the whole 'Vidic faces ban' thread shows just why we have do try and do something about what is going on - the FA are not fit for purpose as things stand, end of.
As mentioned elsewhere their rules of evidence are such that anyone facing a violent conduct charge isn't allowed to appear in person and cannot cross examine people as to the evidence. Plus the Chief Exec makes public pronouncements before charges are made that seriously prejudice the chances of a fair hearing. Ultimately the only way their rules can be subjected to external review as I see it is for a Judicial Review to take place - but that's going to take iron will and a lot of money, so we'll just concentrate on the bit we can do, eh!
Anyway, here was sayyadti's post, it's near the bottom of the page:

Here is a you tube vid of the Vidic/Rodallega incident. The whole vid is about it but there is a close up at 1:50. You can see that Vidic clearly strikes him. The ref didn't see it so it was up to the FA to deal with it. The footage is there for every FA disciplinary board member to see, yet they choose to do nothing. Just listen to the level of bias from the commentator and Lineker. They are more concerned with Rodallega's reaction rather than the fact he had just been punched. Unbelievable. The whole day was just one big rag wankfest. Vidic also elbowed Rodallega back in May when Rodallega had got the better of him and scored. Vidic elbowed him in the throat while off the ball and Rodallega had to be taken off the pitch. Ref didn't see it then either and the FA didn't bother with it. Apparently wigan filled a complaint about the latest incident to the FA but it has obviously been in vain and Vidic will be allowed to continue his thuggery without retribution from referee's or the FA.
At first I just thought it was referee's scared to give decision's against united because of Taggart, but now I'm not so sure. With all that seems to happen every season and especially in recent weeks with the Vidic incident which was clearly intentional and goes unpunished, but Adebayor's incident depending on the angle you look at it from could go either way. Yet he receives a 3 match ban before a match hindering the team which could potentially be uniteds biggest challengers for the title. It makes you wonder it the corruption goes right to the core of the FA. All the other 17 premier league teams ask for is a level playing field, which we are clearly not getting.
