Monty, I have emailed the guy I deal with at Sky to see if I can do a blog on the whole debacle and to see how contentious I can be on the issue and put it on the Sky Sports site

Hopefully they will give me the green light and I will make sure I include as much as I can

Thanks for that Danny; having the contacts to get you into places can be really crucial and I'm afraid I don't really have any at the moment. My claim to fame is geting a response from David Conn at The Guardian last year; that's quite sad isn't it!

One thing I have noticed is the amount of "rag" evidence being thrown about. Ok while I agree they do get away with EVERYTHING and they need addressing, we have to remember to mention every event by every team including our own I'm afraid otherwise we we look like we are being petty and are on a mission to pick at everything the rags do. This is a fight against the FA not just the scum up the road. The FA will make us out to be rag hunters if we dont mention other teams. Just a thought anyway.
As for the youtube vids etc and video evidence then I would suggest someone PM's you the links so you can attach them to your emails Monty. This would add weight to our cause. Maybe one of our resident IT guys?

The OP is a justified attack on the FA, but has degenerated somewhat into an anti-rag agenda. The videos are excellent ammo, but it needs to include some of the many other FA corruption examples from other EPL teams. (Boswinga on Benyaoun as a start)

Yeh that was my point. The OP is spot on but many have only mentioned the rags and there cases. We have to be careful to make it an FA issue not a rag issue! I genuinely think this could go somewhere if done correctly (so far so good Monty). Get as many people involved as possible.

I have just received this reply to my complaint sent on Monday to the FA. This was regarding the behaviour of Arsenal fans and to see if anything was to happen about them throwing things on the pitch.

The FA strongly condemns any form of offensive chanting and works closely with clubs, police and football partners such as Kick it Out in tackling this problem. The FA remain committed to making the game family friendly and call upon clubs and match day police to monitor and deal with these incidents accordingly.



Offensive chanting has no place in football. The FA’s policy is to encourage all clubs to work towards ridding the game of the small minority of supporters who try to ruin the experience of watching a game for the vast majority.

With regards to the Manchester City v Arsenal game, we have asked The Greater Manchester Police and the clubs to identify those supporters involved in any violent and aggravating behaviour. The FA would like to see anyone found guilty of such behaviour face action through the legal system and banning orders from football.

Stewards are trained to deal with racist and other incidents and they and the Police do what they can to deal with foul and abusive language by spectators. Football matches do tend to provoke all sorts of comments or chants from the crowd; some of these go beyond what is considered to be acceptable. Dealing with this on a match day is a difficult task, but it is a criminal offence to shout racist abuse at a football match.



We do appreciate all of the feedback we receive from supporters. This feedback is collated and used to build a picture of public opinion and is subsequently fed back internally within the organisation. Please rest assured your suggestions will form part of this feedback process.

I know what you mean Chelt, but the FA are simply being asked to respond to a series of e-mails raising questions about specific incidents. They not being asked to look at anything else for the time being, albeit that will probably change as time moves on.
