Peter Walton really got it wrong in tonights Liverpool v Birmingham game.He gave a penalty, where The Birmingham player Carsley was adjudjed to have made contact in the penalty area with N'Gog.Replays show clearly there was no contact whatsoever. It was a blatant dive.

Though I agree, compare this to Rooney's "penalty" claim against Almunia (Arsenal) in August. He tries to take the ball around the keeper but massively overhits it, losing control and then begins to fall to the ground before Almunia has made contact.

Would Ngog's mass criticism still occur if he had dragged his leg and FORCED the contact as Rooney did?

Could it not also be argued that Ngog's penalty was more legitimate than Rooney's since Ngog kept the ball in play and in his possession despite Carsley's attempted (and missed) tackle?

Discuss.

Excellent this is just the sort of coverage we need to get the message out to other supporters and to put more pressure on the FA

just read this in the paper itself, and although it seems mildly tongue in cheek , its actually well researched and is good publicity for FA Watch.

This is just the coverage we need to make the FA sit up and listen.
For once, well done Henry Winter.
