FA Youth Cup Final 25th April - Lost 5-3 on penalties

Keepers throwing it in against them and dodgy decisions in their favour. Talk about luck filtering through the tiers.

We played the better football but we need to get more clinical at penalties throughout the club if we want maximum silverware. If Sergio had scored in CL we would still be in that comp.

The kid who missed was 16 ffs

It was Garcia that jumped straight to mind for me mate. Very classy.
I was ringing his praises throughout, along with Doyle and Harwood-Bellis, who were also very good. I thought Frimpong did well, too, and he and Doyle were the only ones really trying to push us on in the second half and beyond.

We lost a lot when Garcia went off, as he was taking the ball in to midfield to find teammates in forward positions and helping to relieve pressure when Liverpool pressed high; we didn’t do much of either after he left the pitch.

The second that has (at least once) made it on for the first team is Bernabe, who showed good and bad flashes today. Once he improves his decision-making (will come in time, no doubt) he’ll be a very good player.

The future is bright, despite some of the posts on here to the contrary.
