What I am trying to say is even Delph remains injury free his form isn't consistent enough and does struggle in maintain it.

You can only measure form from playing, which you and I know, he hasn't - so what form are you revering to?
When he has played he hasn't staked a real claim for a starting spot (up until the Chelsea game).

Moving him further up, and Yaya back to the pivot position was the key to us scoring the 2 goals which killed the game. Added some direct running and a bit of energy.
Him behind Yaya didn't really work, it was just slowing us down because he'd pass to Yaya who'd then start attacks like he was picking it up off a defender. I wouldn't try that again, but overall a decent game and a very nice goal.
Probably earned himself a place in the squad next year in the last 4 days.

Has a good burst of pace to drive forward and open things up, and has none of the reticence to take a crack at goal which some of our players seem to suffer from. Gives us a different option at least. Very happy to see him score a good goal today.
