I think the balance is provided by Milners engineered departure.
Hope it works out better than the last English midfielder we bought.

It's a start I suppose.

really feel sorry for villa but city and villa are victims (sorry liverpool not you this time) of this stupid forced homegrown rule, you lose a player that may not be good enough and because of the shortage of home grown quality we are forced to pay over the odds or buy players below the standard of our first eleven. until better quality players come through the youth systems of english clubs (ours included) we will be stuck with this crazy law that has us scrambling dumbs down the quality of english teams
th
Do we like him now!!!

meh

Might be in the minority. But Delph, Yaya, Fernandinho and Fernando isn't good enough to win us the league. Hope to god we add Pogba and if not someone of a similar ilk.

We won the league in 2014 with Yaya, Fernandinho, Garcia and Rodwell (who hardly played) as our 4 central midfield options.

Delph is the most improved player in the Premier League in the past 18 months, and is now coming into the best years of his career.

People moan that English players cost too much, and then we get the most consistent English midfielder for half of what we payed for Garcia and they still find excuses to whinge.

If he was some wooden-legged journeyman called Fabiano from the Portuguese league for £20m the same people would be playing the 'in Txiki we trust' card.

You really think if Schweinsteiger still had it Bayern would let him leave? He's 31 now always injured & has never played in the Premiership rags will get 3 years tops. Delph is young, English, Injury free and knows the Premiership very well we'll get 10 years from him if he's a success.

Delph will be an excellent member of the 25.

You cannot ever put Delph and Bastien in the same sentence.

Bastien is 30 years old to be precise, yeah he's knocking on a bit, but he has a good 2, 3 seasons in him yet. He will give more to Utd in them 2-3 seasons than what Delph will ever bring to us even if he is with us for 10 seasons. He is not good enough to get in our squad, although I do understand why we are buying him, to make up the HG quota numbers and that is basically the top and bottom of it.

He will just be another benchwarmer for us and I will only accept this signing as long as we get a top top quality CM also in this transfer window. If we don't, Txixi can fuck right off back to Spain.
