Fabian Delph

Delph is the most improved player in the Premier League in the past 18 months, and is now coming into the best years of his career.

People moan that English players cost too much, and then we get the most consistent English midfielder for half of what we payed for Garcia and they still find excuses to whinge.

If he was some wooden-legged journeyman called Fabiano from the Portuguese league for £20m the same people would be playing the 'in Txiki we trust' card.
Easily De Gea but I suppose you wanted your first line to look really good.

Are you a City fan? I'm not accusing you of not being, it's just that most match going Blues that I know think that Barry was superb for City. I think Delph will be similar.

Only people with little understanding of the game don't rate Barry. He was instrumental in our 1st title. No Barry = no title, it's As simple as that.

Delph will be good I reckon

I personally think Barry was miles better when we signed him than Delph is now, but that's just my opinion. More footballing intelligence.

You cannot ever put Delph and Bastien in the same sentence.

Bastien is 30 years old to be precise, yeah he's knocking on a bit, but he has a good 2, 3 seasons in him yet. He will give more to Utd in them 2-3 seasons than what Delph will ever bring to us even if he is with us for 10 seasons. He is not good enough to get in our squad, although I do understand why we are buying him, to make up the HG quota numbers and that is basically the top and bottom of it.

He will just be another benchwarmer for us and I will only accept this signing as long as we get a top top quality CM also in this transfer window. If we don't, Txixi can fuck right off back to Spain.

You've no choice but accept, it's happening you'll have to live with it. Schweinsteiger is 31 on Aug 1 3 weeks away, injured plenty last year, best days behind him he is looking for a last big payday.

I am coming to terms with this being a decent signing, but if he is our only central midfield acquisition this summer then we are going to struggle next season in regards to controlling the midfield in the bigger games, also relying too much on Yaya again.

United look set to add Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin in the next few weeks, big additions.

Must admit, i'm haven't been a big fan of Delph. Hopefully he'll step up,playing in a better team.
But for people to criticise others for not jumping with joy and saying he'll be an excellent addition,
well it's far to early to say either way. Obviously, i hope he's a success, because i want the best for
my team.
