I've not seen too much of Delph (same as most on here) but his performances at The Etihad and against Chelsea (Saturday evening game at VP, was it?) were outstanding. Quicker than I thought and confident. This confidence is the key thing for me. Rodwell & Sinclair always gave me the impression that they didn't belong and couldn't wait to offload the ball to somebody better. If he takes on responsibility at City he'll find he has more space to play because the opposition tend to concentrate on players like Silva and Yaya (who can still play when tightly marked).

Good signing imo. Legs in MF and will protect the back 4.

I thought Delph had an injury that kept him out for about 6 weeks.I might be wrong but I seem to remember having a conversation with my son in law about this.
