Delph was always the equivalent of picking up a packet of Polos at the checkout.
It would be pretty braindead to spout all that about staying at Villa if he was changing his mind to sign for a different team. He's clearly just bottler it on the eve of the medicalmaybe a team like the rags have come in for him and he knows he will get a game?
Doubt he would've turned Chelsea or the rags down thats the sad part.
I agree totally I live in the midlands and the local Villa fans are already hailing this episode as "Good conquering evil" and hailing him as a hero! I appreciate it is early doors but why isn't our PR Department managing these situations better and if the press are accurate in their assessment of our "recruitment drive" so far, then we should be concerned because it looks ham fisted at best...........

That's what I originally thought but all you here in the media is "City need to buy 8 English players"
Brilliant.Delph was always the equivalent of picking up a packet of Polos at the checkout.
If that's the case then i would prefer to just name a reduced squad rather than waste money on fees and wages for overrated english players who will never get a gameThe quota comes from the fact you are limited to a squad of 25 who are over 21 years of age. Out of those 25, a minimum of 8 have to be home grown (not English).
