Nope - just not good enough to be in the starting eleven. Maybe he can step up a couple of levels by playing with the likes of Silva and yaya but would be a big risk for both player and club.. Got Scott Sinclair mk II written all over it (even he shines at villa). As for the England international bit, well he plays with Tom Cleverly - enough said.

His current England international status will change soon enough if he signs for us.

I like the lad as well and will be a useful addition to the squad.

Not every player can be £50M.

Sinclair was a journeyman with only two decent seasons behind him, one of those in the Championship. Delph is better than that and at a reported £10m rrlease
 
If homegrown is the reason, then isnt Schneiderlin a much better buy, even if he's more expensive?
