Mate, as someone who spends everyday surrounded by French people (live in Paris, French wife, half french kid) you are a bit 'lourd' as you lot say.

Just take it down a notch, man, you're painting the typical picture of an architypal obnoxious French bloke, when the stereotype is false and it may not be even true of you.

Du calme, mec.

I just said that if you guys bought 3 players from the team that beat you in C1, that will bring City to have a really bad image for the popular opinion, nothing more. That's not against City, that's not against anyone here, it's just how it works in sport. I personnally never saw that, but the closest recent thing that you can compare to, is Kevin Durant decyding on HIS OWN to leave for the team that beat him in playoffs last year, and he have been-and still beeing - "défoncer" by every others arena in the league, not even mentionning internet. And now it'll have a repercussion on his team, even tho they are now succeeding.

And look at the reaction. Then, I answered back . I don't feel "Lourd" :)

Your french is smooth as hell :)

They're not homegrown. We're not stripping you of academy players. You bought them.
Also, only a couple of years back it was your club paying megabucks for other club's brightest talents.
You're not Southampton.

That's how it works, sure, no problem with that. I got no problem with Bernardo signing, and I'm happy for him. Mendes did a great job by not sending him to Mou's.
BUT you don't go HAM on 6 players of the team that knocked you out of C1 without reppercussion. That's just my point.

WIth just one official + rumours, it start to grow everywhere on médias, so just imagine with 3. And it'll impact the club.

Just try to find something like that before in history of football? Yes, it never happenned.

That's just my point, i'm pretty sure i don't deserve all this just for sayin that.

You see friend, my point is there is no need worrying about what others have to say about you when they generally don't like you anyway so I reckon we wouldn't base our transfer decisions on sentiments. I know it may not augur well with you, being a Monaco fan but every club tries to put itself in the best situation possible and if it means buying 3 players from one club, so long as no FIFA rule is breached, I'm game and I'm pretty certain that most City fans equally are.

You'd be pretty dumb to not wanting them anyway, again, it's not against you.
But since it's the club that beat you in C1, you just can't do that and being "clean" for the opinion.
It's not like if you take 4 guys from Valencia, you know?
It's just like if Man.U buy 3 main players of Chelsea. Or PSG on Barcelona. They'd be bully as fck everywhere too.

Bayern have poached Dortmunds best players for a number of seasons.

Chelsea raided Atletico for their best players after they won La Liga

Liverpool have consistently took Southampton's best players.

We've also previously done it with Arsenal.

What you are describing is nothing new and says more about Monaco as a club for allowing their players to leave than it does for City.

We'd only buy players that we thought could improve our team. It's irrelevant whether they all play for the same team or different teams. We certainly wouldn't be buying them just because you knocked us out.

Liverpool bought 3 from Southampton in one window if I remember correctly.

Apart from the bad image it may bring are there other repercussions? If yes I'd like to know what they are. If no then that's fine with most City fans as they are already used to others trying to paint us black.

What is wrong with buying 3 players from 1 team? I'm really failing to see the issue.

Monaco beat us fair and square but if you think we hadn't had them scouted beforehand then your more than a tad delusional.

I couldn't give a fuck about other people's opinions.

It just sounds like salty French tears.

Shit happens man. Get on with it.

Are we sure to get 3?

Please avoid the use of such words as "dumb". I hope I understood your point but if we buy three players from Monaco this season, there is nothing that suggests we couldn't get another player from the club in the coming transfer windows and even if Monaco tries to play hardball, there will always alternatives every season. For example if Monaco refuse to sell us Mendy it would only mean that we'd have to cough out more money and go balls deep for Alex Sandro. Also we had been trying to woo Isco for quite some time now but it never worked out and so I reckon we turned our attention towards Silva. By the way I'd be really glad if you sign up Mahrez.
