Any 'starting XI' predictions with him in them were always worth a laugh and showed how clouded people's judgement gets during thr transfer window.

Its the fact that we are missing out on most available full backs this summer.
 
Interesting, can't comment on him too much as I haven't seen him play, but highly rated by all accounts.

So looks like Guardiola is planning to fix full back positions after all

He's very calm and comfortable in possession, he reminds me a little bit of Maicon (when he was good) in terms of his ability although he's nowhere near as consistent. Defensively he's better on the front foot, he gets very tight to players and makes quite a few interceptions with his reading of the game.

However from the little bits I've seen he's as bad as Kolarov with very little attempt to block crosses, it's as if he's scared of getting hurt by the ball and he gets wrong footed quite a bit when players are allowed to run at him.
 
it amazed me why City have no link with any fullback.
i wonder if Pep planning to play 3 at the back.
