As much as I love Clichy, Coentrao is on another level.

Not got the pace and fitness Gael has though! I can't believe we got him for £7m!

I'd say he's actually fitter than Clichy tbh. He's had years now of having to cover the entire left hand side of the pitch for Portugal and more recently Real. For Portugal he is expectd to offer Ronaldo the overlap on every attack, yet also expected to cover the opponents right winger and right back, as Ronaldo does fuck all defensively. The lad covers so much ground it's unreal, lord knows how effective he'd be with a player in front of him who tracked back occasionally

if we can't get another winger, i would say ship off Sinclair, move Kolarov as a Left Midfielder and get this guy. If we can get Coentrao or Clichy standby at the back, i don't mind if Kolarov playing as a winger. A Balkans connection will be a good effect for City, with Nastasic, Kolarov, Jovetic & Dzeko playing together in the same line up.

City's 2nd team. not too bad huh. this squad should play for Cup game and EPL lesser team (outside of top 6 - chelsea, man u, arsenal, spurs, liverpool & everton).

Bloody hell, I was just thinking about him when you posted this. I'd absolutely love him here, absolutely fantastic player. For me, he is a s good a leftback as there is in world football and he is very available. Get Kolarov out, get Coentrao in to fight Clichy for the place and even offer a bit of cover at RB, DM and LW

This, fantastic player and would not cost the earth.

If we can sell Kolorov to Italy FIRST, yes it would be good business.

Those are the key words sell first, or in normal parlance get rid by whatever means. The reality though is somewhat different, no one wants Garcia, Kolorov or Sinclair and until that changes I think we go with what we have.
