Barca are a disgrace. Tapping up players left right and centre, making stupid offers and then paying little or nothing up front. If Platini was serious about fair play he's be looking at this rather than preventing affluent individuals investing new equity and additional funds into the game.

The Catalans have a reputation for being tight fisted but this is a blatant use of the Barca brand to entice players they know they can´t afford and who are smitten with the very word Barcelona. Like their football but their behaviour as a club is distasteful to say the least. Dog eat dog I suppose and you have to make use of your greatest assets

the rags have done this for the last twenty years all they need is the press on their side and the transfer is done !!

Don't get me wrong, I reckon it is his most likely destination and I am sure it is his favoured destination. I just cannot abide all this stuff about it being his dream and that he wouldn't consider moving elsewhere when he has already shown that he will do whatever is right for his career regardless of this "dream." I wonder if he would be insisting on Barcelona if they were mid table? personally I think we should at least have a go, I reckon fabregas could be persuaded.

That would be a huge waste of time.
Do you think he wouldn't go anywhere else in England out of respect to arsenal or do you buy into "fab's dream." if Barcelona can't agree a fee, do you think he would be open to a move to us? I reckon we should at least talk to him , worst he could do is say no. Arsenal are going nowhere, I'd be surprised if he wants to stay there too much longer.

No way will he go to another Prem club - he wants Barca and they will get him - unlike Nasri he still has a good number of years left on his contract so Wenger will hold him for at lwast a year

They also have a load of players get tapped up from their system as well. Bellerin, Fabregas, Fran Merida, Jon Toral, and now maybe Gerard Deulofeu- and that is just from Arsenal alone! It is all part of the game now and Barcelona are just playing along.

just heard hunter on talkshite sayin us n real makin it hard for barca cause we got higher bids in
Thanks for the help guys....time to work together and let those cvnts taste a bit of their own medicine. There's a way to sign a player and if the club doesnt want to sell, just respect it and move on. Arsenal and City has made 3 deals now and not a word has come out from neither clubs trying to undermine each other in the media. Just the way you do business

Yep, the first you will know about our huge bid for Fabregas will be next week when he's unveiled at Eastlands. ;)

I think he will stay another season now...they had their chance to do something when he was away from wenger, now that he's back he will get couple of slaps and put back on his place lol. The difference here is he has 4 years left on his contract, and he will never put in a transfer request as he knows barca aint too serious about making a real bid and he could end up staying and having to deal with the problems caused as barca will just move on. But he has already made it clear he will not hand in a transfer request few weeks ago anyway. He would never go to another club and will just buy his time until barca is ready

Genuine question Gooney. Do you think there is a possibility that Fabregas might (or might in the relatively near future) get really pissed off with life at Arsenal. The lack of investment, the very obvious fact that you are going backwards and the relatively low wages? I'm not going to argue that Barcelona isn't his preferred option but if they cannot afford him and another club comes in, offers him double wages and a genuine chance to win silverware, would he really not be remotely interested? And assuming that your answer is that he would happily stay at Arsenal, at what point does that change? When Arsenal fail to make the top 4? Or do you just genuinely believe that his patience is inexhaustable?
