Fabregas

Lancet Fluke

I know it sounds weird, but I really think Fabregas is different kind of guy. I really believe him when he says he is only interested in Barcelona. I also think our chances is exaggerated in the media, people talk like we are a midtable team and has no hope in hell to ever win anything. The last 2 season we have been there and there about only to collapse with 6 games to go.

We need to strengthen the squad, specially the attack. Last season when it really mattered our attack let us down with two 0-0 home games and a 1-1 game against liverpool. I also think we will strengthen the squad next season and compete. We have been told the last 5 seasons we will fall of the top four. Last season we totally collapsed and ended fourth.

I think Wenger and Fabregas has clear understanding if barca offer market value, you can go. The problem is the english media is following the spanish media and this whole fabregas saga is way too exaggerated. They said he will not come back and boycott training, he did come back and now that he is injured and isnt running with the team. They say Fabregas has refused to train and said i will just spend my time in the gym with my own coach until i get a move. Here's the latest from spain

EMD and Sport turn on Wenger today, the 'traitor' who 'conned' and 'laughed at Cesc'. EMD tell Cesc: 'rebel!' Who's the traitor?

It's just that he has voiced a bit of displeasure about things at Arsenal in the last year or so, hasn't he? About lack of signings, lack of fight in his team mates and lack of trophies. I'm not doubting he has a certain amount of loyalty to Arsenal and/or Wenger but I'd be surprised if it doesn't end somewhere. I always assume that he is happy to say, "only Barca" because he has always been pretty convinced that they are going to come and buy him. If they don't then the situation could easily change, surely? I know it is hypothetical talking about Arsenal not finishing in the top 4 but it isn't unthinkable is it? So, I ask again, if Arsenal fall out of the top 4, do you think he would be happy to stay? I'm not convinced at all. As it is, he will probably go to Barcelona because they will come in for him but if they don't come up with the money it will be very interesting to see what happens over the next 12 months with Fabregas imo.

If Arsenal fall out of the top four....he will go to barca. I just dont see us falling of the top four. I dont see liverpool or spurs finishing ahead of us. I believe we will buy players and be stronger next season. I guess time will tell. But Wenger has never fallen out of the top four and like I said we hear this every season.

But you never know in football, but I just cant even imagine him playing for another PL team. Specially as he has said it atleast 10 times even when he's not asked

It doesn't matter whether you think you'll stay in the top 4 because I am using a hypothetical situation to get to the bottom of where you think Fabregas' loyalty to Arsenal would run out. Right, so you fall out of the top 4 and Barcelona keep pissing you and Fabregas about by not stumping up the cash like they have done for about 3 years now. What then, do you think he is happy to stay and play in the Europa League or would he consider other options? I know I am playing devil's advocate to an extent but I just don't buy this shit that he would only consider Barcelona. It must be soooo easy to say that when you are convinced they are going to buy you, I would imagine.

It would be exactly the same situation as Torres. Should no deal happen he'll come back and perform to his usual high levels, like Torres did - until such a time as Arsenal collapses and loses CL football, like Liverpool did. Then his loyalty will soon change, Liverpool were out of the CL for six months before Torres threw in the towel and they, like Arsenal for Fabregas, were the first big club to give him a shot at the top.

The difference being, Liverpool's collapse was predominantly financial whereas Arsenals is managerial. None of that will matter to the players when they realise their club is going backwards. That said, its still hypothetical. Don't write them off until we see who Wenger brings in and manages to keep. They've finished 3rd in the league consistently for years and got far in the CL, they're hardly complete shite - they just have a severe lack of bottle.

I never said he was our Le Tissier, so now he wont stay that loyal. But if what you says happens, we will sell him and lower the asking price and barca will get him. The difference right now is Arsenal do not want to sell at any price. The club has released a statement saying they are not interested to sell at any price, wenger has never discussed his value whenever asked about it and say he is not for sell. Wenger will fight like a mad man to keep him this season as he doesnt want another replacement and want to give Wilshere and Ramsey one more season under their belt. Those two will take over and Ramsey will be Fabregas natural replacement

Fair enough. I hope you don't drop out of the top 4 by the way. There's only one team I want to drop out of the top 4.

Fabregas will be off sooner or later, Barca return to training next week don't they, can see developments next week.
