BBC Sport are now reporting that Barca have said he isn't for sale.

Looks like they are going to have to go and buy Cabaye. Good player but hardly world class.

I think it's Fabregas' camp that is encouraging offers from Manure to strengthen his position towards Barca, he wants to know them that he's still an A-list player and he wants a more preeminent role in next season, but i don't think he really wants to leave.

I completely agree, I think Fabregas has played a blinder. He's seen Xavi isn't the player he has been(although still fantastic) and wants reassurances of Barca and with Utds 'bids' its made Barca tell him what he wants to hear.

But, is it me or is it in bad taste to be bidding for a player at a club who's manager has just resigned due to ill-health?

Barcelona have told Manchester United that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale.

They're late to the game, fabregas was always going to be a non starter for barca. Modric might be available given the recent signings but I'd be surprised if they sold. Cabaye would certainly move and would be a decent signing. I'm more curious to see who Chelsea will line up as an alternative to Rooney
