Everton boss David Moyes has accused moneybags Manchester City of signing Joleon Lescott illegally - and claims they lack class.
Moyes is still seething about the £23million transfer of his centre-half and rapped City's behaviour in an attack that re-ignites the row.
He blasted: "There is no doubt Manchester City treated us with little respect and broke rules in the transfer of Joleon Lescott.
"I found it very difficult to accept that a club that had so many similarities to Everton should suddenly start acting with no class."
Moyes fumed at the way City made rising bids - and leaked the details in advance - to unsettle Lescott, who then asked to leave.
Anyone ever wondering why I hate the use of the words "class" and "respect" in a footballing context need only use that article as a reference point.
Edit: What Moyes said about (mainly) Fabregas yesterday:
"I think a point does come," said Moyes. "But when you are interested in good players you want to give it every opportunity to materialise.
"I will hope things will continue to move forward. At this moment in time I can only tell you Ed Woodward is working hard to try and make the deals happen. We hope some of them will fall into place shortly."
What a fucking hypocrite, not that anyone in the press will pull him up on it.
