City, Chelsea, PSG, Monaco, Russians and even Chinese can out do them for fees and wages. Then couple the fact that United have lost their manager and replaced with a punt steady eddy.

I'd be scared if I was a rag, this IS a sign of things to come. The class of 92' is basically over and their new graduates are average to good at best. Their pull will decrease as the demographics continue to change. They laughed at Liverpool and imo they will head that way over the next decade, slow but sure. That's not me hoping, that's just me stating what I believe. Their best players are either in their peaks or are over 30. Their best younger players are De Gea and Kagawa and other than that they are all average. United will be held back by the Glazers like Arsenal are by Kroenke.

Not even the Rags themselves thought this was going to happen - it was a move targeted solely at appeasing their Shareholders and fans whilst they went about their intended business of buying Fellaini and Baines.

It was not a move intended to actually to bring a player into their Team - if it had been, it would have been pitched at a realistic level that the selling Club might actually consider. Rather than the exact same price they bought him for two years ago, when they clearly don't want to sell.

Their intentions in relation to their offer for Fabregas are entirely clear and transparent when you consider both the level the offer was pitched at, and the fact that they publicised it to all and sundry when they knew it wasn't going to be accepted.

It was a publicity stunt - nothing more. They are getting more and more pathetic by the day this summer. They will buy Fellaini and Baines, and there will be no Bale, Ronaldo, Messi or Fabregas whatsoever joining the Rags as long as they've got the Glazers in charge.

They could quite easily get Cesc.......all they need to do is offer Cleverley Zidane as a swap.......Barca would probably throw someone else in also...
