Factory Records 40th anniversary

I've still got all my old vinyl records. Loads of New Order and, my prized possession, the original Squirrel and G-Man album with the plastic cover and the track Desmond. I don't know if it's worth owt...well played!

A lad I know from Blackley has every Factory listed record ever released.
About 10 years ago he did an exhibition upstairs at the Ducie Arms in town near Victoria Station with proceeds going to The Christie Hospital.
He tried in 2018 to put it all on display for the 40th anniversary but no venue in the city would / could house it all. Criminal.
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for...
There was an exhibition of Factory records and memorabilia at one of the old warehouses on Blossom Street in early May 2012. Loved it. Probably the same guy? It was 20 years since the demise of Factory.

Things got even better a few days later :)

Condition, condition, condition.

That's a first issue and if it's a very good copy then around 50-55 quid. Higher if the condition is better. Near mint up to 150 quid.

I’ve got that too. It’s worth a few quid in mint condition but you won’t be retiring. Maybe £100. I’ve got loads of other factory rarities too but none of the “ gold dust” joy division ones. I’ve got the cloth cover of Still and first editions of all the other releases but I dont think any of these are worth more than £50 or so

Col gibbons. Has written a book too

Well we all aren't Shakespeare or Dickens and the publisher did tidy it up!
Books being published shouldnt be for the privilege of the posh only.
I appreciate that mate but I expect an author to be able to string a sentence together. I’ve bought self-published books before and they were literally unreadable.
