Factory Records 40th anniversary

I’ve got that too. It’s worth a few quid in mint condition but you won’t be retiring. Maybe £100. I’ve got loads of other factory rarities too but none of the “ gold dust” joy division ones. I’ve got the cloth cover of Still and first editions of all the other releases but I dont think any of these are worth more than £50 or so
You've trumped me, then!
I got the first two James 7"s.
Blue Monday with the stickers on the wrong sides of the disc.
Miaow ...I think that was Factory.
Loads more but i cant remember off the top of my head..
ALL of New Order up to Technique but nothing rare.
Nearly all Happy Mondays 80s singles 7" and 12"
Did you know there was only a thousand of the original S & Gman? So I asked in some record collectors shop in town, back in the 90s, about how much it was worth...they told me they're not taking anymore! I wasn't going to sell it...just wanted to know. Apparently, those 1000 were nearly all sold in Manchester and they had a fair few of them! This was back in the 90s, though. Now, with t'interent, you can find out so easy.

Yeah, I spoke to Col...is the book any good?
It is his life story, growing up in Blackley and going to the same school as Dermo from Northside and they were pals and the United player Alan?? Davies who committed suicide a few years back lived on the same street / same class.
Tales of youth club discos and then the Thunderdome etc and Madchester and how he began collecting records but inparticular Factory stuff. Up at 5am going to car boot sales and doing a job on a roof of Ian Curtis's mum and becoming friendly with the Curtis family who trust him and give him Joy Division rarities etc.
I enjoyed it.

Bumped into Bernard Sumner years ago in a club called the sound garden It was in the entry at the side of Sachas Hotel. Ignorant **** and me liking new order ended that day. Met Hooky a few times he was a friend of two brothers I knew. he wasn't bad
