Fairytale of New York

Yes, yes it can.

Brains will be wetting themselves if they have to change the packaging.

Go on, then. Argue it. I don’t listen to radio 1 or that song(I can’t stand it) so it doesn’t make a blind bit of difference to me but I’m interested why you are so keen to hear the word ‘faggot’ on the radio

I've yet to see a single even half decent reason why it should stay in.
It is the original lyric. End of.
Of course if you or anybody finds it 'offensive' ..... turn it off. One of my best friends was gay, loved it and sang the line out loud with pride.... Too many offended on behalf of others...

Really don’t get why people care so much about this. If you want to listen to the original, unedited version you can, on numerous platforms. Songs with contentious lyrics have had radio edits for decades. In the scheme of things, it’s really not that big a deal.

Must be nearly december if this has popped up again, same every year.

They changed the lyrics themselves for tv appearances in the early 90s so why the fuss now when thay version gets played

Its the original lyric written about an argument between two druggies and it was put in because it was the sort of language that Kirsty's part would have used.

I'm not so keen as you put it to listen to it but I am keen to keep songs as they were intended.
