Come on guys...... calm down....

City NEVER wanted Falcao but we played the game very well getting just the outcome we predicted ....

Monaco were told early this mroning that we wouldnot be pursuing the signing and as such they went on their merry way playing a game....

The only winners are Monaco!

Now watch this space... we have some hours left

Hope you don't mind me asking.....why would we pull out at 6mil loan deal? The only reason I could think of, is that Pellegrini wants Negredo to stay?...letting him go wouldn't make sense now or am I missing something?

thanks

I'm looking at this now in its most basic form ie... Mendez whoring out to highest bidder, City max 220k wages, Scum have come in with 300k wages.

Bang on mate - look at the deal to Monaco all about Money, clearly Falcao's career is being steered by the money men around him. Just feel a bit sorry for the player himself...

You seem to be saying we are a better team than Real. I am not disagreeing. I am just saying that they have a better attacking unit.

You also seem to forget two things. They are the champions and have bought Kroos and Rodriguez.

In addition we lost to a pretty poor Barca outfit last time out.

Without wishing to split hairs, this is what you posted.

What is disappointing is that Falcao is a world class striker and as I posted last night with him suddenly we become serious CL contenders. Without him whilst still good enough to win the PL we do not have sufficient quality to beat Real and Bayern.

Whatever your point is, which it seems even you're not sure about, I don't agree with it. That's okay though, as I say, I hope our players (attacking or otherwise) make you eat your words. We'll start with Bayern in a few weeks.

But it's not a £6 mill loan deal, it's £20 mill plus. And at the end of it he'll still go to Real.

You feel sorry for someone earning nearly 300 grand a week? fml

If Negredos family are unsettled, then I would rather he go than keep an unhappy player for back up.

In terms of Falcao, there is no guarantee that he will regain the form he had before. Given the apparent wage demands, it would be a bit daft if we were to spend most of the summer renegotiating our player contracts to be more performance based and then bring in someone on a high basic again.

Personally, I find the two up front can cause us a few issues with the space it leaves in midfield, I would be quite happy if we pushed either silva or Toure up playing off one up top.

What did Khaldoon say about the sanctions? Something like just a small setback in the grand scheme of things. Everyone was happy with our dealings and thinking we were fully done on Friday. It's really no different to now apart from potentially losing a player who has in reality not offered much through injury or poor form for a long time anyway.

For United, they are building a skyscraper on top of a mound of jelly and will still play turgid football, they are turning into Real Madrid at the height of the Galactico era, but with shitter players. Falcao won't fix anything but placate their sponsors for a bit.

I was looking here yesterday in amazement that you were trying to get Falcao. Even if Negredo goes back to Spain, Dzeko showed everyone last season that he was the main man when it comes to being a reliable striker. Aguero when fit is amazeballs, but even then you've now got Jovetic on fire and Silva/Nasri who can play in the hole if Dzeko plays as the lone striker, then there's Yaya who scores plenty of goals from midfield. I don't see any striking problems there.

Now I wake up this morning and learn that Falcao is coming to united, and suddenly this yard sale of Hernandez (madrid), Wellbeck (spurs) and Will Keane to QPR all suddenly fits into place. Although, surely RVP or Rooney will have to be dropped for Falcao?

£9m a year after tax apparently. By my reckoning that's more than Rooney. Gutted we aren't geting him, but we didn't remotely need him and he's not worth destroying our wage structure over. I'd still sell Negredo and then use the money in January if we need to.
Yes, it's notable that Sly are now reporting it as a "loan that is worth between £5-6million" when previously it was quoted as a £20 million loan (wages being included obviously).
So the rags are paying £20 million for a Real Madrid 12 month fitness test.

Sky just reporting that rags agreed a 6mil loan deal with Monaco for Falcao...6mil????....why City not in for him at that price? Reports also say that City willing to let Negredo go as offer is forced sale of 30mil euros after his 12month loan..

Martin Blackburn ‏@SunMartinB 7m
#mcfc still weighing up Valencia offer for Negredo. It's a loan for rest of season with 30m euros deal in summer = £23.8m @SunSportNow

...6mil

plus his 300k a week wage taking it up to £20m total value.

Typical Sky to minimise the cost for them.
