Fan Behaviour

Jesus, yet another thread where boring old fuckers use a spurious unsubstantiated story about a random act of yobbery at a match to complain about the general boisterousness of our younger fans in the hope of getting virtue signalling points from each other.

I'm in my 20s. Boring? Yes, but hardly an old fucker, and I don't do virtue signalling. I was one of them in the concourse singing before the game and went in and got behind the team throughout.

The atmosphere is shite once inside as a lot of the people my age prefer to record the videos of the singing on the concourse, as they can upload it to Snapchat and the gram for clout. It doesn't have the same pull getting behind the team without it being on camera, hence why a lot just stand expectant of us winning these days, and stop singing when we don't score.

City fans should be sticking together, not turning on each other over trivial shit. We are in the middle of the most successful period in the club's history. We have it fucking easy compared to 99% of other clubs in world football. Get behind the lads, be as loud as you can be, but also be responsible and a decent human being towards staff and other City fans around you. It's a clear and simple message.

I am so glad i mainly do corporate home and away these days!

40 hrs probably how long you’ve been following us
Brilliant - your deluded argument holds no water so you seize on a typo. It’s boring old fuddy duddies like you and the shrinking violet OP - “oooh heard other stories of violence too” who have largely ruined our away day atmospheres.

Let me spell it out for you sensitive types - random acts of senseless violence happen all day every day, it’s a savage garden out there. But individual acts of thuggery by dirt balls are nothing to do with the general scene of young men having a laugh with their mates and singing nasty songs and swearing and doing drugs - that’s just what happy testosterone filled young men do - remember ????

I simply pointed out that it seems to be happening more frequently so was interested on thoughts as to why. If you don't like the thread don't reply simple as

You are right that this shite does happen daily. But people shouldn't be turning a blind eye to it mate, not when it's blue on blue and allegedly somewhat unprovoked.

Football needs its rum fuckers and likely lads, that's half the fun and where a lot of the atmosphere is created. But acts of violence and shite behaviour inside the ground to innocent staff, family men, shirters, scarfers etc. is uncalled for and shouldn't just be accepted as par for the course. We are Manchester City, we are better than that.

I've seen the video of that. I didn't personally see it on the concourse at the time. Leave that to scummy Leeds.

Heard one guy try a "you're just a shit Jackie Chan" shout at Heung Min Son. Thankfully nobody joined in with him and he quickly stopped. Silly beer talk rather than being a racist would be my guess; shouldn't be happening though.
A shit Jackie Chan would still be nails.
