Fans leaving early.

People have always left early, it's really not a new phenomenon. I reckon I've left a couple of minutes before the end 200 times and not once has the result changed from the time I left to the full time whistle.

I've probably saved 100 hours sat in traffic. That's over 4 days sat in traffic just to see the last few insignificant minutes whittle away. If people want to do that, fair play to them, but it's not North Korea, people have got a choice what they want to do with their time, let them do what they want.

I think all this new "It's embarrassing" and "It doesn't look good" outlook is down to The Shite calling our stadium The Emptyhad. It's bollocks, we all know it sells out for every league game. We should be happy that we're so much better than them that they have to resort to making things up to have a dig.

I understand the Club are now looking at the Stadium expansion as an opportunity for people who only stay for 70 to 80 minutes of the game to sit in the same part of the ground. (This is in addition for the Family Stand that takes of itself).

The idea is that the 70 to 80 club would be located out of the main views of the cameras.

It didn't look great on the box last night, particularly the Family Stand when Ireland had that shot at the end.

It was shocking to be honest. Regardless of what people think this season? For whatever reason, is worse than any other for people leaving early.

Cant understand someone wanting to leave early in such a tight game and it doesnt look good for the tv coverage-remember QPR and show the team your full support for 90 mins

It all depends on the type of football that is being played.Yesterday was pure unadulterated shite and just one of those games,we seldom play nowadays, thankfully.
However the opposition sometimes makes up a fans mind as to whether its worth staying until the end of a match.Stoke could send a fucking glass eye to sleep and I suppose thats a contributing factor why fans piss off early.

Yesterday was a big game in a title chasing season. The result was certainly in doubt until the final whistle. How anyone could have left before the final whistle is beyond me. Sure, I can see when we are 7-0 up that perhaps staying until the end is academic (although applauding the players off may be another option to consider). Where's the passion? People come on here debating the rights and wrongs of all things City but then f**k off home at a crucial time. It just does not stack up for me. People can write and say what they want but actions always have and always will speak louder than words.

I can understand in certain circumstances, about leaving early. If your a fan that travels a great distance to get to home games then fair enough.
We had to leave 10 mins from the end of the Chelsea F.A. Cup game, I was meeting the wife and friends for a meal that had been arranged pre cup draw.
It gave me no option but to leave early, as I had to drop the lad off at his Grandparents before making my way to the restaurant.
I also work night shifts and that leaves me no option than to leave early, but there are people that do it every home game that sit near us in the family stand, it irritates the shit out of me at times, especially in close games.

Less people left against Stoke than usual.
That's because there were very few people there in the first place.
Particularly bad were blocks 225, 226 & 227, which includes the director's box and expensive comfy bum seats around it. Were they all at a wedding or something?

Plenty of one or two seats dotted around. It looked like plenty had forgotten Valentine's day last week and were in the doghouse or making up for it. Also isn't it half term, so quite a few will be away doing family stuff?

What pisses me off is that Maine Rd was further away and I was home in half the time! Whether I stay to the end or leave early from The Etihad only makes the difference of the time to get out of the stadium (plus how much earlier I leave) as I'm in a bad position with regards to the exits (but don't have people going past me to get out). The roads have just the same amount of congestion whatever time I leave and it's quicker to get out the later I leave it. So basically, I don't rush. I'm currently inventing a hover car that I can run up the ramp of the new bridge and take off at the top ;-)

The new stand is going to make it worse, as parking as got harder too over the last 10 years.

not bothered about people leaving early. but what I don't get is, we park for free somewhere and it's a piece of piss to get away from after the game. I've noticed alot recently that people are getting there earlier, yet when I get back to the car and I walk quick and don't leave early, half the cars have gone! why get there early to piss off early? makes no sense to me that. and they certainly don't leave to avoid the traffic cos like i say it's piss easy to get away from
