Fantastic Season

It should have been a fantastic.

If Pep could get over himself and just pick the side that wins.

Winning the league is brilliant. I don't care about the Thai Energy Drink Cup.

We should have won the FA cup and Champs League if Pep didn't tinker.

It was,but it should have been better.

We gifted two cups.
Was going to submit a 'report this comment' as quoting sense after a defeat is not the done thing!

We had all of the season, in particular the last three weeks to determine our best 11 and we pull a lineup out like that!

Had we put our best 11 out and lost I'd take it on the chin but that starting line up and formation tonight was bull shit.

So why aren’t you criticising him for picking kdb ? Our best football at the height of our long winning streak was without Kev. Where were you lot back then berating Pep for bringing Kev back in and changing a winning side ?

Yep it's been a brilliant season, don't forget this was being considered a transitional season at the start so to end it with the trophy haul we have is outstanding. However, that doesn't hide the fact we had the opportunity to have so much more and it feels like a missed opportunity. We threw away the FA Cup and tonight was there for the taking had we just played the team and the style that got us there.

It's going to hurt for a few weeks minimum, possibly all summer given we don't play again now for over 2 months. It's put a dampener on things for sure, that's natural. there's almost certainly going to be a lot of emotional overreaction but once that sulking period has ended and we begin the new season as defending champions we will all appreciate the season we had.

Best thing City can do now is get our transfer business done early that will quickly have us looking forward.

You think KDB has made us play worse? Seriously?

It’s been a great season. Just ended disappointingly. So many fans of other teams would love to be in our position. Got what we deserved tonight

I do. We’re noticeably less fluent with him in the team. His Hollywood assists this season have camouflaged that fact. I know it’s the same as saying of a striker that his goals only camouflage his poor all round play but I think there are questions to ask about whether he stifles the overall creativity of the team psychologically as well as tactically

You think arguably the best creative midfielder in the world stifles our team of creativity?

You've got to be wumming.

It’s a team game they’re all cogs in a machine. The whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. In a game to save my life I’d play Phil in the middle and possibly Kev right midfield - if he doesn’t play there I wouldn’t pick him.
