it wasn't thompson (at least didnt sound like him) but some nob jockey on national radio came out with the gem that "the game would have been different if liverpool had mascereno and cole playing as city had no one missing". Even the sl;ightly lesser nob jockey had to list some of the players we had injured last night.

city played above par because the boss had made a visit,then it rained and our heads went down but the supper fantasic result on thursday is the new liverpool so lets talk about that game
