FAO The Hamburg fans posting over the last few weeks...

Thank you to the Hamburg fans over in Hamburg, you were absolutely superb without a hint of trouble.
The fact that the vast majority of City fans returned the respect last night makes me proud to be a blue.
The atmosphere at both legs was absolutely amazing and certainly as good as any I can remember supporting City over the last 35 years.

I said in Hamburg that I had just seen the winners of the UEFA Cup, and although we are now out I hope Hamburg go on and win it!
Thank you HSV.

rfg matt post that link up mate i would like to see the photos :) i guess u notice how hard it is to be an amature photographer at english football grounds so many jobsworths like.. lol

May I also add that I hope Hamburg win their league too which they're in a great position to do btw.

well done HSV. obviously gutted we were knocked out but we couldnt have lost to a better bunch of people.we fought well and i am really proud of the players. i hope you win it and i will always keep an eye out for you like schalke. german fans are mint. good luck and thankyou.

Personally I cant remember meeting a more friendly bunch of fans as those of hsv your a credit to your club, had a few sherberts with quite a few of them and had a top crack, them boy's can drink, one lad called jasper told me that city fans were the best he'd ever met and would forthwith be his second side fair play I know I have devoloped a strong connection with hamburg and will follow their results from now on.
As somebody on this thread mentioned earlier would be class to develop a sister club kind of thing cant think of a more worthy candidate would be an honour having a connection with those guy's so to all hsv fans it was a pleasure and a privilege having you in our company and to share a few shandy's good luck for the future now go and win the waffa cup.;-)

Had a great day yesterday. Went with honkytonkman and a few others into Shambles where the atmosphere was unbelievable. Started talking to a couple of German lads (Chris and Lause (sic)) who were excellent and thank God their English was so good otherwise we wouldn't have got along. They were saying how great the City fans are and how they love Manchester. One of Chris's lot fell over (pissed) and knocked a few beers and Chris gave him the mother of all bollockings and later explained his friend was embarrassing and he should not get so drunk when he is a guest in another Country.
Me and honkytonkman took them both into Mary D's where every Blue was excellent with them (except one in the bog who started singing about Hitler - but there is always one). Lause went outside for a ciggie and was gone for about 15 mins and (feeling responsible for him) went looking for him but couldn't find him. 10 mins later he turns up saying he was outside singing City songs - he absolutely loved it. Chris even started a chant of Invisible Man which he says he is taking back to Hamburg.
Apart from the result it was one of the best days out I have ever had following City and undoubtedly now Hamburg will always be my second team.
