Sunbeam Rapier fastback
Custard yellow Bob, get you, all I ever saw were the tangerine ones and the odd white one, absolute heaps of shit though, I remember me and my ‘homies’ back in the day taking a day trip to Alderley Edge and having to push it up the road to The Wizard, it hadn’t actually broken down, it just didn’t have the power to get up the hill !My first car was a custard yellow F reg Vauxhall Viva and the dog that sold it to me said it would piss it's next MOT. If it had been a boat it would have sunk without trace with sills rotten to the core and was nothing short of a lemon. It cost me circa £125 and then cost a month later another £200 just to Mot it.
The first ever car I had a ride in was fathers Ford Anglia in 1964. Father worked on the building of the M62 and we had many a happy picnic trip down that northern highway. I always remember me and our kid could rock it from side to side whilst sat in the back as it was that light. On reflection another piece of olden day shite.
Seems a bit strange that BMW are claiming ownership of the classic mini. That is the suggestion by the logo in the top right corner. I though they brought the name only and not the history. My favourite 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s car.
