Love MR2s. The mark 1 and 3 are brilliant. The middle one was wank.

Wouldn’t say it was great or not but, 1979 the first family car we had was a Vauxhall Viva. Still remember the reg to this day and use it as a password. It got us to the dippers 1981 League Cup Semi, Everton and Villa Park FA Cup games too.

My stepdad traded it for an Austin Princess eventually and that was a right bag of shite.

I remember rust being very strongly attracted to a 70's car/shitbucket called a Hillman Avenger.
I think Hillman injected a bit of rust on leaving the factory so it just fell apart after a designated number of years.(as they did with their Imp model) :)
