A vital away relegation battle at Leicester in the eighties - must win game. We lost 4-0 !! . But the singing from the blues fans there was non stop for full 90 minutes.
Also a train trip to Plymouth away. This was my mates first ever City game, home or away. We had plenty to drink and City 2-0 up at half time. Lost 3-2 in the end. My pal was hooked - welcome to City

Some good memories in this thread.
FA cup defeat at Newcastle 1-0 when Keegan was our manager. We were a division below them, down to 10 men yet outplayed them for most of the game. Took a great following there too. One of those rare games where a defeat felt like a victory.

I was at that!! Went with a load of lads from London on the train. Two of the regulars decided to drive and the car broke down. They got in at half time!

When Arsenal beat us 5-1 at home in 2003. They were 4-0 up after 20 minutes and it could of been much more. It was a footballing masterclass that day and Henry was unplayable. Never seen football like it

Other mentions over our pints were:
3-3 away at Walsall ( maybe same season ) 2 nil down - dibble off injured and gleghorn In net 3-2 up and them last minute crap backpass from oldfield let’s them equalise - great game
And the 3-3 home to Keegans Newcastle - curle and asprilla having a running battle all game - some class goals in an end to end classic
That Newcastle 3-3 sticks out in terms of the best game I remember that we didn’t win.
But favourite game we didn’t win for me was away at Pompey when Redknapp was in charge. I think we lost 3-1 and Yakubu scored a couple for them.
They were a good side at the time and we were shite. I just remember it absolutely pissing it down but the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant, we were doing the conga down the aisle when we scored.
