Favourite City game.....they didn’t win !

Some good memories in this thread.

FA cup defeat at Newcastle 1-0 when Keegan was our manager. We were a division below them, down to 10 men yet outplayed them for most of the game. Took a great following there too. One of those rare games where a defeat felt like a victory.
Another very good shout - we did play very well but my overiding feeling was how impressed I was that Dunney kept up with Bellamy in order to concede the penalty..........

Ref couldn't wait to get the red out

Think its been mentioned already on this thread but the one one at Old Trafford when the Goat equalised, one of my brothers mates played for the rag youth team so got his complementary tickets off him in the home end. Berkovic, Foe and Jensen took it to arguably one of the best rag sides ever. Thought we were gonna get hammered when Van Nistlerooy scored early but we stabilised and the Goat popped up to nod home SWPs free kick.

Had to sit on my hands to stop myself jumping up, then a few minutes after Anelka put the Goat in again and he scored, couldnt resist I jumped up and blew my cover. Unfortunately it got ruled out for hand ball, not a single one of the chinese tourists batted and eye lid, plus points for the all the blues in the away end singing 'fuck off back to London' at the end. The rags didnt like it one bit.

Another great game - got the call about 9:30 on the Sunday morning that I had got a ticket (I owe a lot of favours to the guys that have got me my tickets down the years)............

Something along the likes of 9 seconds on the pitch, 1 touch, 1 goal Shaun Goater.....

Just when I thought I couldn't love the man any more

Schmiechal faked injury that game because he couldnt face playing against his beloved rags for City at the swamp, hated the guy even more when he said that. I was sat next to the dugouts and he got dogs abuse off the rag supporters walking from the tunnel to the bench. What a classy bunch they are.

The 2-3 against the rags affirmed our superiority. Bacon face was fuming at the end and it also got us out of an away tie at Anfield in the next round which was probably a blessing.

The 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Etihad in Pep's first season was a really good game. Also the 1-1 v Chelsea when we had 10 men and Lampard scored for us.

The first game of the Sheikh Mansour era against Chelsea at home. There was a brilliant atmosphere that day and I’d gone dressed up in the Egyptian gear I’d bought on a Nile cruise 18 months earlier. I looked a complete dickhead but what fun we had. Robinho scored a great free kick to put us one up but they won 3-1. Great day.
