Just wondering what is everyones favourite horror movies?

As I progress onwards in life I don't like to be scared to much these days. But back when I was a young man the film that I only watched once because it was as scary as shit was "Night Of The Demon".

That film still sends shivers of dread down my spine.

was that the one where a person got a piece of paper and the demon came after them

Yes thats the one. A 1957 old black and white British horror film, but the subject matter still scares me even now.

I downloaded the changeling the other day, very spooky but the acting is very hammy and in the end it's a bit silly.
Do you mean the George C Scott one? cracking film that.

Yes thats it, id heard good things about it so gave it a go. Like a said its a league up on the spooky scale from anything around today. George C Scotts character had balls the size of mellons to call out that spirit and stay living in that house when lesser men would have legged at the first sight of a door opening on its own!

Still , Its obviously dated now, infact I thought of turning the colour down to black and white because they do that hammy 1940's type acting!

Right, just watched The Babadook. I will gladly pay anyone in the Manchester area to go round kill the **** that recommended this absolute bag of fucking shit on here. Cheers for wasting my sunday afternoon. Score. Fuck off out of ten.

Most horror fans on forums are saying it aint that great. I think the people who don't watch much horror think its scary, seasoned horror fans have seen it all before.

I saw it last night and thought it was a good film. Im a horror fan and yes it amazingly scary, more chilling than anything . Its more the story its been praised for I think, you dont get that sort of premise in a horror film usually.

Just read this morning that starz in the states have comissioned an Evil Dead sequel series starring Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi involved too. Set 20 years after Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3).

Watched both Insidious and Insidious 2 at the weekend.

Insidious was bloody creepy I thought with the demon and the witch, I think the music played a big theme. I liked how it got straight in to it, there was no build up like Exorcist, Annabelle, Conjuring and the Omen. Insidious 2 could have been better I thought, there weren't any scary bits for me and could have utilised the witch a bit more.

Absolutely brilliant films, they'll only ruin them tho. Can you imagine Campbell doing the backflips now..?
