FC Copenhagen | Post Match Thread

What a fantastic team we are watching..
Grealish was outstanding tonight as was Gundo.
The rest were very very good..
Nice to see the young lads get a run out too..thought Palmer looked really good and he will be pushing for a start soon.
Looking forward to the Southampton game already..
Weather was shit..trams were not too bad tonight..football was wonderful.

Great performance grealish was very good and gundogan kept it all ticking in the middle.

P.S these European nights are great but why do we have tourists flashing their phone lights midway through the second half in most of the games.
I’d vote for a Squid Game style sniper to take out every single one of the goons pissing around with lights on their phones.

Excellent night, sometimes these games are a bit flat after a superb win, like the one on Sunday!! Really enjoyed it, all the lads were great. Weather was awful though, cold too. Was craving a bit of the heat we had at the Bournemouth game!!

Great result.

Almost job done in this group.

Grealish, Gundogan, Gomez, Bernardo, Haaland, Palmer stood out, probably missing a couple. So many good performances and good performances from squad players who we will need this season.

Agree with all of that but also full marks to Copenhagen . There was no shithousery, no goalkeeping timewasting, none of the usual antics ... good on them.

I said from the beginning of the season that our potential success wouldn't come down to our 1-11, it'll come down to the strength of our 12-25. Sunday & tonight proved this emphatically!

Having the likes of Akanji, Philips, Gomez, & Alvarez, added to Palmer, Wilson-Esbrand & Lewis, with Grealish settling in nicely, is some serious strength in depth to call on once fatigue, loss of form, injuries & suspensions start to bite.

I'm never one to count my chickens, but tonight went how most would've expected, considering the two teams involved. We did what we needed to do in style, & came through unscathed in terms of injuries & suspensions.

Grealish was excellent tonight, as was Haaland, Gomez, Gundog & Alvarez. What a left peg Gomez has on him, & didn't Palmer have a blinder?

It was also good to see our "reserve CB's" Laporte & Dias get a run out! Lol :-)

One more win to qualify for the knockout stages, & if results go our way, we could even win the group (I think). Hopefully we can get this group wrapped up ASAP, give more game time to the squad players & those returning from injury. Perhaps then we can forget about the CL until February & concentrate on the PL & regaining the Carabao Cup. \0/

Totally agree and they just kept trying even though they hardly got near our goal at all.
I am convinced they were so in awe of our superior play they wanted to keep observing whilst playing if that makes sense. They will now pick themselves up, remember how we played and try and emulate us in their own league and other European games.
Does that make sense. Learning on the job from a far superior team?

theyll get another lesson next week

Three people I want to talk about:

1) Gundog completely ran the show. It was as if he was the instructor of a training session.
2) Haaland - Sorry, but this stuff is getting beyond the brain to comprehend.
3) Palmer - Wow, hasn't this guy matured. Player of the 2nd half by a long way. I think Cole Palmer is ready to start games.
As to number 3- not sure if UK has the same announcers for CL as USA does (y’all don’t for PL) but our guy couldn’t praise Cole enough. He was mesmerized by him. Said he’d earned himself a start at Southampton the way he’d played. Mentioned he might become better than Phil for us

Gomez, Palmer, Rico, Wilson-Esbrand and Alvarez all looked amazing tonight. What a squad we have. If Pep walks away at the end of the season it will kill me.

Thought Gundogan was superb tonight, him and Bernado ran the game in the first half.
Grealish's best game in a City shirt and pleased that Alvarez got on the score sheet.
Special mention for their keeper who made some outstanding saves to keep the score semi respectable. Who was that masked man?

Easy evening, and I suspect we'll see much the same next week.
It could be an even bigger score as they’ll have to come out a bit more in front of their own fans… although with the cult round the corner it could be a bit of a 2nd string and a rack of changes as the game wears on

What I meant with Palmer is that he is ready to start. I don't mean that he should start.
