Maybe we should be worrying about more pressing issues closer to home like ticket prices, ejections for persistent standing etc rather than generating 21 pages fretting about a non-league club playing in the evo stik league.?

And we call the Rags obsessed....

We call you obsessed because you come on here pretending to be city fans.

Now if someone understands any of this - <a class="postlink" href="http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_use_user_state_variables" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_use_user_state_variables</a> - can they get in touch as it's bamboozled me.

Site will remain off for a while. I'll have to take a copy of it and mess about with it to make it secure.

Far too many variables for me to be able to make any sense of that

It's a good job you're around to fix all this. God forbid you should get hit by a truck. We'd need to pluck some poor sod out of obscurity and get them cracking straight away.

Soto just ask me ;)

Blimey, I go away for a day and miss the exciting bits!
Was there any juicy bits in the reports?

FC United fans online survey (p19)

Had a look at their website and was surprised at the commercialisation of it already. Links to sponsorship of everything, corporate hospitality offers and even a weekly draw (nothing like encouraging a bit of gambling).

All in all, it's about money, money, money and not football, football, football.

Seems like a principle has given way to a get-rich-ego-trip.

Exactly! Principles my arse. They're so full of shit it's untrue.

I'd have a bit more time for FCUM if they didn't come out with all that bullshit about grass-roots football and community spirit and simply admitted that the reason they set the club up in the first place was to feed the egos (and perhaps line the pockets) of those that founded it. I wonder whether they saw just how much money United were making and simply thought that a mini-me version would be a great way of getting rich, especially when they had a ready-made support base of several thousand waiting in the wings.

And speaking of principles, perhaps any of you lurking FCUM fans would like to tell us all what Swampy thinks of the proposed new stadium. He's the bloke that does the FCUM radio commentary and is an ardent animal rights activist. So much so that he was part of the group that got the 1993 Grand National abandoned, and would no doubt be fervently against a new stadium being built on that site.....if it didn't involve FCUM of course..

What's the betting that his principles have conveniently gone flying out of the window and he's all in favour of it?

It was always about money and ego with those who run the club.

Never doubt that they're very clever people. They saw a gap in the market and have played it to the maximum.

At the level the mini-me rags play at, the Chairman or Chief Executive gets paid expenses... the ones that run the FCUM's are on a right good wedge of circa £30k per annum... allegedly.

But at least it keeps his slapped arse face off the telly, pontificating about how their "One Love" club was making a fortune out of the gullible support, so maybe a price worth paying...

Hence them pleased to get rid of it, and no i dont come from Moston, shame they cant build it closer to my home. M19 oh now that would get a few on here going.

Cringle park would of been a nice spot ;-) but part of it comes under stockport, so that would of been a no goer.

Cringle park comes under Manchester. Anyway, what's wrong with playing outside of Manchester? Man united have been doing it for fuckin years.
