Oh dear....
FA Trophy 2nd qualifying round - Stamford 2 - FC United 1

So that's knocked out of the Manchester Premier Cup, FA Cup and FA Trophy all in the space of 3 weeks.
The wheels on this bandwagon are well and truly coming off!

Some quotes from FC fans after todays game :

Twitter quote from board member

'fcuking awful. Fed up of making excuses. Crap crap an more crap. Can't go on like this. Awful'

Watched the whole game sober - never again!
Wish I had gone in the bar now. Shockingly bad in the second half against a truly awful Stamford side.
No change in tactics save lumping it towards Jonesy towards the end. Sorely tempted not to bother with away games after that. People spent good money following the team and deserved better.

Maybe its time for change ; players or management ? or both!!!!!!!!
We seem to have hit the wall, and cannot get over it.

A quote from a board member???
Wow - could be their ''David Makin'' moment!!
That'll be andy mitten.

From the ashes of the Glazer's they found

A new football team to play with no ground

So off to Gigg Lane in little ol' Bury
The first few years were all very merry
As they climbed up the tables
With new songs and new fables
And a new move into Newton Heath
Until they were kicked in the teeth
By the Council who said they had no money
The poor Rebel's didn't find that one funny
Then the council, a new hand they dealed
And offered the Ronald Johnson Playing Field
But before the celebrations got cold
Local Mostonian's put it on hold
By taking the crooked council to court
A top barrister to speak for them was bought
So watch this space for the result to be seen
Ronald Johnson Playing Fields must stay green

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha nice one :)

-- Fri Nov 02, 2012 12:47 am --

Barcelona based Andy Mitten isn't on the board at FCUM

Re: FC United - Questionnaire, your chance to have a say (pg 43)

I know a family involved in the leadership and I say let it go ahead and even back it.

Imagine the fun we could have with the rags from the swamp.

They really are a genuine kind and nice family

You mentioned that on the previous page but didn't answer my question....

FCUM

Nearly Every Game We Lose....
We’re just a little pub team
And we’ve got nowhere to live,
We survive on grants and hand outs
And donations the public give.

We were given a field in Moston
To build our stadium on
But it seems our fans are dwindling
And at this rate they’ll soon be gone.

We want to be “good neighbours” -
But the “neighbours” hate our guts,
They’re annoyed at the cash we’ve been given,
Because of austerity cuts.

We rarely seem to win a game
And our future now looks dismal.
Our team just isn’t up to it
And our playing is abysmal.

Our last three games have cost us dear
(One was against 10 men).
If we lose the support of the fans we have left
It’s back to Bury again.

But wait! There is an answer…
Home games on the Dean Brook car park!
With jumpers used for goal posts
And street lights for when it goes dark.

And so…..

(to the chorus of “Every Which Way But Loose”)

Nearly Every Game We Lose,
Nearly Every Game We Lose
It seems our days are numbered now
We’re hanging up our boots.

Nearly Every game we lose,
Nearly Every game we lose
We’re going to the Miners Club
To drown our woes with booze.

Nearly Every game we lose,
Nearly Every game we lose,

and your reasoning is based on.....

We talked on Sunday after mass and one person mentioned City "supporters" trying to stop them.

Can I ask, are those your words saying 'numbskulls trying to stop them are ignorant and stupid' or is that what the FCUM fan/s described campaigners?

Local residents against the proposal (and I am no longer one, but lived there for the past 19 years) are blue, red and also some who do not have any interest in football at all.
It is very convenient (and easy) to simply dismiss the campaigners as merely being 'blues' and nothing else.
The colour that unites them all is green, but that doesn't suit their agenda. Rather than engage in debate with what campaigners are protesting about, it's far easier to lump them all together as just 'bitter blues'. And that is ignorance and arrogance.

You really shouldn't have added a wink to your questionnaire.

The answer is no. I don't live in Moston and to me the questionnaire seems perfectly reasonable.

The rationale behind the club is a protest against the Rags since the Glazers took over and a return to the original location of Newton Heath while establishing community links.

I see nothing wrong with that whatsoever and plenty of opportunities poking fun at Surrey, Thailand, Ireland etc etc.

Except that they didn't form the club when the Glazers took over. They formed it the first time we outspent them in the transfer market.
They are traitorous scum who shit it and ran the first time it looked like City might actually make a challenge. They should be mocked and derided at every opportunity. The Glazers are only the current custodians of the rags. The real fans know this and will support their club through thick and thin. They ran away screaming foul and jumped ship the first chance they got.
There is absolutely nothing admirable about FC scum of Bury. They are an odious bunch of turncoat twats who stink out the lower leagues with their scum fans and hypocritical behaviour.
The sooner they go bump the better.

You didn't answer my question, I asked if your comment about ''numbskulls trying to stop them are ignorant and stupid'' was your words or that of your FCUM friends.

I also do not have an issue with what you say is the rationale behind the club - the sticking point is they should find a brown field site to develop, not the Ronald Johnson Playing Fields.
As mentioned many a time, the issue is Green, not Blue.
