FC United thread

They’ve also unveiled the business plan for next year. As has been said plenty of times on here they’re going to need to raise at least £125,000 profit to cover the £75,000 due to the council, £25,000 to finally start a sinking fund for the artificial pitch & £25,000 to cover their other borrowing.

That’s a huge increase over the money they’ve raised this year you might be wondering how they’re possibly going to manage it? Well for a start they’re not going to add pressure to their staff by increasing their targets (as they’re clearly already very unrealistic & all the staff keep leaving) what they’re going to do is increase the target for donations.

keep shaking those buckets to prop up their ownership model that’s obviously failing & unsustainable whilst also preaching to anyone who’ll listen that they’re the way is the right way to own a football club
I don't get your pessimism?

If some daft fucker can give the 47k, some even dafter fucker will give them 125k.
If by any chance you get the email address of the wonderful chap who donated 47k, please pm me as I know an African Prince who needs to buy the London Tower Bridge using a Ponzi scheme.

We should all go down and ask Sammy Mac to describe his City goal scoring debut - and then the rest of the time he spent at Maine Road.
Ask Beardsmore to describe what the dressing room was like after the 5-1 Maine Road Massacre
Is that the royal we?

Or are you planning to cross the Atlantic for the day?

If they’ve resorted to get people in for £7.50 to fill seats to listen to 3 old Trafford “legends” how much will they have to pay people to go & listen to Mark Crossley later in the year?

Another promoter simply with no prior knowledge relating to booking an act at this venue.
Booking any event at Pallet Park immediately reduces potential sales by 50% of the local population.
Even if Morrissey performed there I wouldn’t pay to get in (I’d stand outside and listen of course) but Blues do not organise birthdays / christening / wedding receptions at Pallet Park. I feel for Crossley as he’ll get a poor attendance (although judging by his comment above I don’t feel sorry for him).

The Bucketeers planned a reunion party recently for the 15th anniversary of beating Rochdale in the Cup. The whole team and ex manager showing up with the game being played from start to finish. It was pulled due to lack of interest. If the Rag Socks own fans won’t support their own events, what chance does Martin Crossley have?

Yes Mark. Our fans are so shit that they managed to outsing the Forest fans throughout the semi-final despite having about 8000 less in the ground. As that Villa fan said on the atmosphere thread last week when commenting how poor their own fans were against Palace despite easily selling out, sometimes less is more. In any case, I've been in Forest's ground for a 2nd division league game when there were 7000 of us bouncing around due to the fact that they couldn't sell enough tickets to their own fans so ended up giving us more.

I'd like to see Forest consistently sell out Wembley if they were there as often as us. And don't let anyone mention to Crossley that the last time Forest had a higher average league attandance than us was in 1899!

Is anyone attending the business network meeting at Pallet Park on Thursday?
Should be good - it’s being hosted by their General Manager, well, er, it was…. But he quit last week!

What cracks me up is they are inviting “forward thinking” businesses. Like they know anything about that!

Before we started talking about mark crossley and how a generous benefactor/deluded fool gave them almost £50 grand even though it was just a drop in the ocean due to how fucked they were we were talking about how a member was questioning the board over why so many staff and managers leave.

Here’s a good example of the toxic atmosphere around pallet park and just how quick the board are to distance themselves from their own decision to pay women players. Taking no accountability for their own decision they instead chose to blame staff for their own poor judgement & stupidly ambitious budget setting

The last sentence……
This shift reflects a strategic decision to move forward in a more sustainable and community focused direction.

The board meeting:
We need to discuss the woman’s team, what are the options?
We have no money for them. We are fucked if we carry on paying them. They can carry on but on a volunteer basis.
Any other options?
No.
OK it’s clear then that we should take a strategic decision here…… having considered all the options, I propose, after a lengthy consultation with board members and much thought, the woman’s team goes from being paid to volunteers.
All in favour?
Seconded, aye, aye, agree.
I’ll send the memo out to our co-owners…..

Correct.City turned up in droves at Forest , away end or should I say extended away end.. back in the 90s
We used to camp out at the City ground,,it was our ground for the day the old brigford rd terrace has Blues standing half of it,then thousands more vociferous Blues in the seats of the lower executive
It was basically surround sound Blues...and Mark will remember thos e days so he needs to shut his big fat mouth,..,

Let's have a look back in history there biggest game was to see man utd in mid 60s, a gate of 49k no doubt swollen by duey eyed notts fans desperate to get a look at Georgie fucking best,..City's biggest gate ?84kvstoke
That's what you call a big crowd forest !!

Poor little forest , never won a trophy on their own ground .even when they won the league it was away Coventry city a nil nil draw gave them the title ..the city round has never ever been christened with a trophy
They would like to build a new stadium but based on their crappy support maybe 40k capacity would be too much for their fickle bunch of part time supporters

Rant over.

Nope its not ova...when I first stepped into the city ground to see my first ever match.the home crowd
Looking baaaàach...was 27 ,255. Wow
As Norwich nutter says....Where were u????
Embarrassing. Don't get me started......

Can see the Splitters getting the usual help that Big Red get.
Poor Avro will either concede a dodgy penalty or get someone wrongly sent off.
If Avro do win, it will be swept under the carpet.
But, no doubt, Slimy Stone & Jamie Paradise will instantly cover the Fenix Final if the Bucketeers win the Semi...
