FC United Thread

If I recall, when in their 1st season, Maine Road FC switched the game from Brantingham Road to Bower Field.
The night before the game, the community club's fans graffitied the ground with all sorts of FCUM shite.
Same tossers who sprayed Mary Ds and they couldn’t understand why we Fukin hated them in Stalybridge and remember the town has a unhealthy number of rags

I used to go and watch Altrincham when I was growing up in Wythenshawe when city weren't playing as an under 16 it was a £1 to get in. In the early 90's they had a great team for that level and were odds on to get promoted out of the conference with 5 games to go when they beat Barnet at home you were also going for the league title. Their form fell off a cliff and Barnet were promoted and the rumour doing the rounds was that Altrincham could not afford to pay players full time wages that they would have needed to do in the old 4th division so the management paid the players a bonus to throw a couple of games to avoid the promotion.
I went to the game when they gubbed Barnet 4-1 to virtually seal promotion. Early kick-off was delayed so we had a high-speed dash to Maine Road for our 3 o'clock game.

Sadly, as they’ve fucked up possible promotion (deliberately?) this thread will die a death over the summer months.
That means no one will be asking why Mcr. City Council haven't received a penny in repayments.

Just sayin'

I'm sure the next payment to MCC is either 1st June or 1st July.
I am sure our resident "Man Under Cover" @Mostonisblue will be reporting to us ;)

Have they ever made a payment ???

They are the worst non-league team for finance, revenue, and DEBT, Just think, they have been given everything possible and they still don't turn a profit. The people of Moston don't want them because they mean nothing to their community

But, but, but, they insist that they "do things properly" and every club should operate like theirs..... fully transparent and democratically run.....

Once the so-called fans owned club's self-appointed board members spent the money on themselves, it should have folded ? A breakaway club that was not happy with its owners (Glazers) taking money out of the club. only for them to just do that. hahahaha

Money went missing / Sorry, spent on luxuries by the board members that were listed for the club's future.

Such a family-based club

And such honest, upstanding board members.

I was absolutely over the moon when I saw that Rylands put an end to any hopes they had of promotion .

Hopefully, more and more of the "shareholders" will decide they’ve had enough of being fleeced and will stop forking out their hard-earned to buy a season ticket for Pallet Park.

And adding a sizeable amount as a "donation".

I believe there is to he a hefty rise in season tickets and match day tickets next season. Beautiful:)

But if the club goes tits up they won’t get their investment in the community shares back……. So they have to keep on keeping on.

Isn't this the dilemma for Splitter fans ?
Is the "Punk Football" hipster attraction wearing thin ?
Will they pay higher season ticket prices, even higher single game tickets prices ?
If they go bust, how will Manchester City Council (and the residents) get their £900k back ?
If the Splitter fans continue to desert them (their gates are decreasing, also they're not hitting their target), then it will be a slow, painful death...

I've said this before, if it is Punk Football, then they are at the Pistol's "Flogging A Dead Horse" period.
