Maybe at the same time HMRC can investigate tax evasions of one club who drop the price of season tickets by a significant amount of taxable money but then suggest to fans that they could pay the difference via a non taxable “donation” to the same club.

They do make me laugh when they consider themselves to be a sustainably run club lol

In November they voted to get rid of that tax dodge from next season onwards. The board bleated that it didn’t work as 45% of people didn’t make any voluntary donation & 20% of all donations come from just one person. The sheep all agreed with the boards idea to set the season ticket price to £270 next year.

They also wrote a policy to ensure all volunteers are paying to get into the ground which didn’t go down well with long standing volunteers complaining that the board were scraping the pie tin & it was the kind of move Jim Ratcliffe would make.

I see the game last night was called off. I just hope that doesn’t affect the cash flow of the club and that all the hot food ordered hasn’t been prepared therefore costing them even more losses, along with the programmes being printed / having to be paid for.
If they set up a Go Fund Me, I’d chip in…..
You'd chip in? That's pie in the sky MES.

I've no particular love for Macclesfield after our trip there in the dark days but, 6 years since reforming with I assume no massive loan and look where they are compared to 20 years of the mini rags who have been gifted everything.
A great result for Macclesfield !
Think Macc have had a lot of publicity though, during the last few years with Robbie Savage involvement.
Am sure the BBC did a couple of mini-docs about his stint there as a co-owner, then manager ?
The club who I have a lot of admiration for is Bury F.C.
They were shafted by their former owner and had 2 satellite clubs who didn't get on.
Well done to The Shakers, who are getting great crowds, but little media support.
Am amazed Ratty Neville hasn't joined the bandwagon, now they are heading upwards ?

The Bucketeers can go top today with their game in hand, playing bottom side Workington at Pallet Park.
Though the question of the night is "How many will turn up on a cold Tuesday night in Moston?"
Will it be another loss making game "under the lights"?

With ten minutes to go it’s not looking like a good night for the bucketeers, losing 2 nil to
Rock bottom of the league Workington with an attendance of 1271 (but as always that means there’ll be under 900 actually in the ground)

Despite the chance to go top of the league they still haven’t turned up. They’ll be having to resort to another round of begging the few long suffering fans they’ve got left any day now.

Edited to add the night got slightly better for them with a 95th minute equaliser. The lack of crowd is a concern for them though. they’re just not making the cash the deluded fools believed they were going to. There’s whispers of a crowd funder being needed any day now to keep them going.

Yes, a huge disappointment for "Marketing" F.C.
Wonder how they will spin this huge disappointment against bottom of the table Workington, whom I remember being in the Football League.
When they go bust, who will be accountable for the c. £1 million pounds owed to MCC ?
No doubt, the people responsible will magically disappear, together with the MCC officials/councillors who indulged these charlatans...

Have they been paying the council monthly or are they going to stump up (I think) 75K at the end of the season?

Cannot see the Weasels stumping up 75k when their gate last night was only 1,200 ?
The bubble has burst and it's going to interesting how MCC get their money back ?
If they don't get promoted this year, their gates could/will probably drop to c. 1,000 per game, which is absolutely pathetic for all the media hype they generate...

Macclesfield have been buying their way up the pyramid. It’s not the fairytale they and the BBC would have you believe
