Fergie on Sunday

Well the other thing is he blamed Rio and Evra for charging forward but when he brought his subs on he brought ANOTHER striker on!

They had three on up top and so what message did that send to his players.

Really confused with Fergie in every sense. He was in as much of a mess as his players and had litrally given up.

He said in his post match interview "We kept attacking when we went 4-1 down and we should have just said, 'We've had our day'."

That is basically saying they should have just accepted defeat. I have never heard Ferguson say anything even close to that in his 25 years at the Swamp.

Statement of respect for city is that/

Perhaps he recognised it was over for him and his teams being dominant. It'll be interesting to see what team he puts out tonight, maybe half that starting line up as a punishment.

It won't be anyone, I'll be amazed if he packs in just now, at the lowest point in his career (he amitted as much in his interview). No he will be there in May, whether he still is in August is another matter. Sven was sacked because he was doing a poor job after spending a lot of money (for that league).

Events moved pretty fast on Sunday. After they got their goal United thought 3 - 3 and glory was beckoning. Well, turns out 1 - 6 and humiliation arrived instead. As far as I can remember only one side have ever come back from 0 - 3 down with only 10 men. Can't remember who it was but believe they are legendary! One of my favourite films is the Outlaw Josey Wales and there is a classic scene in there called " Hell is coming to Breakfast" I think the City DVD of the game should be called "Hell is coming to Dinner"! Great day. Great times.

A couple of things also struck me:

first, Mancini actually going to them at the end to shake their hands...going into their "space" rather than waiting to be graced by "the presence", and secondly the way Mike Phelan shook Roberto's hand had a certain resignation-cum-recognition about it.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Bacon calls it a day end of the season, especially if we make it all the way. Where exactly is the massif investment in players? Where are the homegrown wunderkinder? What was supposed to have been said to Rooney to get him to back-down last year? Something about bringing in top talent? How's that going for you Wayne? I don't think Purple fancies managing a rag team that is going to struggle to compete for TOP SPOT and has no fucking chance in Europe - none. How does he want to go out of the game?

He was a sad lonely figure on Sunday, but that's to be expected given the defeat. However, I would never imagine that bloke caving in, he's just not made that way. OK, at 71 he must be thinking about it, but he'd never, absolutely never go at a point like this.

It was his interviews before the match that intrigued me he said that defeat at this stage of the season defeat wouldnt be terminal, it is not like him to actively take pressure of his own players, it was like he had accepted defeat before the match ive never seen that be4

okay I'm going to type this not believing it will happen but trying to get into a mindset.

I've had first hand contact at times over the years with two people who worked at the top of the food chain for the Glaziers in the NFL(Tony Dungy/ John Gruden).

Both of these delivered huge success to Tampa Bay.

Both got totally done over by the Glaziers and fired.

Now based on that the Glaziers have shown they have zero loyalty to coaches.

They turned up en masse sun with all of their closest corporate buddies to impress them....well we all know what happened.

So in saying all that it wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if they did the unthinkable.

FAN FUCKING TASTIC if so.
