Replacing ferguson is nigh on impossible for utd. Love or hate the guy he is a fantatastic manager and constantly gets the best out of his team, whether that is through bullying them or putting an arm around them...he does both but it works.

Moyes - think people are underestimating him. I will go on record and say I would never want him as a manager of us as I cannt stand the guy, but he has done very well at Everton with limited resources though his style of football is horrible (another reason why wouldnt want him). Howver he does seem to be able to get teams to be better than they should be and that is a big trait he shares with ferguson.....probably why many people believe he will g there. I wouldnt right utd off with him there and fergie behind the scenes giving him advice

JM - if he went there it could be brilliant for them or a complete disaster but either way it wouldnt last more than a few years as everyone knows JM lwants to win something in every major league so he could go there win things then leave them in the lurch (it would be funny as well to see the reaction of the chelsea fans and players like Terry and Lampard!!!!)

I think it will be moyes (like most) but Im sure Gill said at some point that the next manager would need european experience which moyes doesnt have really......though again with fergie behind the scenes it wouldnt matter.

I dont think this will weaken them as much as people think as long as ferguson is behind the scenes advising/pulling the strings...he doesnt seem like a person who would let go that easily or not be able to be involved!......m sure he would still be invovled in player recruitement for instance (ie the ambassador role they seem to have marked for him)
this news only came out because the new york stock exchange are required by law to know of any changes within the business.
so it may weaken them by putting off potential investors,im hoping anyway.

they have also pissed on their own parade which makes it all the more funny.

This is pure, pure gold. It's got endless angles. Literally endless.

Stop it. My sides are hurting.

That is pretty funny to be fair. He right goes off on one doesnt he! lmao!
Listen to the clip when he was told live on talksport that ronaldo was leaving. It's fucking hilarious.

Has anyone heard the united fan crying on Talksport. Fucking brilliant. In stitches here!!!!

Yes and I've just heard another one virtually threatening suicide. How hilarious is this. Fergie has trashed their triumphant season within a fortnight of the rags slutching their way to another title.

Please win the FA Cup, City and make this a triple whammy of a week (along with the Fergie and the Gollum hilariousness). And then get Cavani in June.

What surprises me most today is Harry Redknapp has not appeared on SSN with his car window down saying he's parted company with QPR.

He's getting his excuses ready for next year,

''I was interested in the boy but Leicester blew us out the water...''

He may well be back in charge before next season is over if the successor is a disaster. Mourinho certainly won't be daunted by the prospect of following him he might be the only one egotistical enough to follow him without fear of failure. Wonder if Guardiola had any idea of this announcement. Certainly unexpected to day the least but virtually nothing shocks me.

The only certainty is it couldn't possibly be a more contemptible individual though anyone associated with United gains automatic contempt by default.

Hopefully this should solidify Mancini's position let Chelsea and United deal with all the upheaval (aside from playing matters of course where all 3 will be more than a little active in the market)

Saw Man U fan on facebook make a sad status about Ferguson retiring. Some guy, as a joke, said Man U are going to relegated next season.

The Man U fan responds by saying there's a time and place for those jokes and now its not appropriate. He compared that comment to making fun of someone whose parents had died.

Ferguson retiring is the equivalent of losing your parents.....unbelievable

It will be interesting to see how many penalties they concede next season and how many sendings off.
