There are some proper bell ends and moaning fucks on here.

Last year you moaned cos we didn't move fast and ended up buying shite (except Nastasic).

You moaned that we were being tight with our money and being beaten to the best players and all of our targets.

We subsequently won fuck all.

Now we are clearly moving very very fast (1st major signing in the prem) and have bought a player who is head and shoulders above any other deep lying player in the division and at our club. He is a genuine 'straight in the team' signing. Genuine CL class midfielder.

Get a fucking grip.

I haven't even posted yet on this topic. The money DOES matter. If we are going to spunk 34 million on a guy we have the right to question it. If the season ticket prices go up again guess why.

Yes, If the season tickets go up about £400 next season we all know why

Glad you can afford it mate. Well done. I for one like many others are priced out. I have said it the last 5 seasons. Anyway doesn't matter another blue gone and shouting at the radio.

I said this an hour back but it seems no-one noticed.

The more reliable reports that I've seen quote the figure as £22m, not 34. The £34m figure seems to be journos adding on the total salary figure for the contract also, trying to create the exact same unrest amongst the fans and hatred amongst non-fans that people such as yourself are falling for hook, line and sinker. It's exactly the same as the papers that claim Tevez cost £49m.

£2m a season more on season tickets isn't going to make a tiny bit of difference.

I am sorry you feel that way, but you seem to have got hold of the wrong of the stick, in order to win we need to attract good players (there are very few world class players) when we attract good players we should win more games, which equals a happy fan base and wads more sponsorship etc

Thanks that's why it has gone up 7% for the last 4 years. Clown. Get the meaning of my argument before posting. Clown

Shakhtar official website says the fee is 40 mil. EUR so there's no room for "it's journos fault" here.

Excellent signing. Can't wait to see this lad in action for us. Think he is going to be a star.

And for any lurking pond life Rags...........get used to it - this is just the beginning.

Business is business. Football is no longer about the fan. They will wring all of the money they can out of us, nothing to do with player wages. Clown.

I have a tendency not to believe foreign websites - remember when Boca announced that they had signed Tevez for example? It's a fairly common tactic in some countries to exchange the truth for what makes your club sound better. But still, interesting info, I hadn't heard that. Thanks.

With or without huge transfer fees, Soriano will squeeze as much money out of the fans as he thinks he can get away with. The guy does a great job but just watch the Barca documentary, his mind is always on revenue and how much money he can get out of fans (and others).

It is my opinion that £34 mil is a lot of cash for any player. Maybe and I hope I am proved wrong that he will hot the ground running and be instrumental in winning many trophies.

Either way you look at it. It is expensive for a midfielder and do not fucking insult me when you say it has no relevance to ticket prices.
