£30m? way overpriced.

Hmmm, who to trust on this, the 2 Barca football experts or the teenager who has watched him half a dozen times at most?

It's so odd that we as fans gripe about a transfer fee or laud if it becomes great value - not our money in the end.

I could see if we were Sunderland or Fulham with a limited budget and spending this dosh, but we can afford it, the entire club sees it as a player of unbelievable need, the player was actually on his hands and knees crawling here. Glad it's done. Yes it's higher than we thought but nothing to lose sleep over.
Exactly.

I do think we need to be careful bluemoon is full of our friends from Trafford these days and I wonder if a number of these posts are down to them.

No, It's £34m :(
Why do people quote actual figures on here when no one really knows the actual amount.

Exactly. Have either City or Shakhtar actually come out and given a fee that has been paid? No. That's the reason why posters qualify their gripe with 'if.'

I'll have a go.
If we have paid £72 million for him, I'm going to be really upset. Feel much better now I have got that off my chest.

Fantastic news and it clearly shows the club's intent to try to bring in its main targets early this year, rather than repeat the farce of five or six deadline-day deals that we saw last season.

According to the MEN, the Navas deal will not be completed until after the Confederations Cup, as Jesus is part of the Spain squad.

I am really looking forward to next season and I can see it being a two-horse race between City and the Chavs, now that the big-headed one is back at the Kremlin.

It's lot of money, too much, we can spin it as much as we want but it is.

Not hugely bothered of course, it's not from my bank account but would like if it wasn't so much.

Year or two was needed or City to stop being seen from other clubs like someone who'd just throw the money on the table, this one will stop progress in that part and will cause problems in other transfers. De Laurentis will certainly smell blood after this. Can't say I blame him for that.

They say 40m euros.

Who cares mate just enjoy. After all we wouldn't be spending it if we couldn't :)

i'm waiting for Napoli's reply.

"ah City, you're paying £30m for a guy from Ukraine, ok, you can give us the £50m we want for Cavani then".

That kind of overspend is only acceptable if we meet our profit target and get every player on our A list of targets this summer, whilst freezing ticket prices next summer.

I can't be bothered to trawl through all this thread, but has anyone seen him on a reasonably regular basis to form an opinion of his footballing skills? I have seen next to nothing of him really.
