It's lot of money, too much, we can spin it as much as we want but it is.

Not hugely bothered of course, it's not from my bank account but would like if it wasn't so much.

Year or two was needed or City to stop being seen from other clubs like someone who'd just throw the money on the table, this one will stop progress in that part and will cause problems in other transfers. De Laurentis will certainly smell blood after this. Can't say I blame him for that.
Navas for £14.9m says we don't overpay.

FFs , I think £4 is outrageous for a pint but I still drink !
What ever the price we pay for our players - it is governed by market forces .
We are , as a club , incredibly wealthy , therefore the presence of that money and other club's knowledge of it becomes a market force . It goes with the territory and we will have to get used to it .
Was it £21m we got for SWP from Chelsea ? Was he overpriced? No, it was the market price given the Chavs' relative wealth! If somebody offers you it , you take it.
What no. 25 is worth will be seen on the pitch!

Good signing.

Expensive but good.

We were in for him in January already, so surely not a PEllegrini buy, but with the new system the manager wont have a say in transfers or only a very small part.

The price: its not our money. So get Cavani as well, if Fernandinho is 34m, Cavani can be 60m, no brainer.

100 million for a 50 year old!!!!! ....I'm writing to my MP, how dare city make me have a hissy fit at my age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

will people fuck off banging on about how much he costs. if city feel hes worth 30 million then so be it. Its not your money and doesnt effect you in any way.
Exactly. Moaning cunts that have never seen him play save for a couple of games on ITV think they know better than Cheeky and Feran on what a player is worth to our club, as if it is their own money.

Who cares mate just enjoy. After all we wouldn't be spending it if we couldn't :)

i'm waiting for Napoli's reply.

"ah City, you're paying £30m for a guy from Ukraine, ok, you can give us the £50m we want for Cavani then".

That kind of overspend is only acceptable if we meet our profit target and get every player on our A list of targets this summer, whilst freezing ticket prices next summer.

Okay, got conclusive proof? Know what our targets are? What we have available?

Think it's pretty clear who our targets are.

You can slag me off all you want the fact is we've overpaid, he's a quality player but the silly overreactions to my post just sum up the childish mindset of some on here who like to grossly exaggerate things for a reaction.

My simple point is that I hope us overpaying on this signing does not drive up the price on our other targets, because if so we either don't get them which will be a failing or we struggle to meet our sustainability requirements.

And the above is purely showing concern for our club, it's funny how stuff gets twisted.

An exciting start to the window let's hope the Barca boys deliver on the other targets, if so we'll have a great chance next season.

Why is the photographer not Sharon? Did they sack Sharon too?? Oh, the horror... :/
