Re: Fernandinho has medical

He's a decent player, better than Barry (technically) and Javi Garcia but obviously not better than Yaya.

Possibly a Barry replacement?

In fairness to him I did post "is is finally sinking in?" rather than "is it finally sinking in?" in my post, although in my defence I was at the gym at the time and there I was somewhat distracted as I was posting on my phone by something that caught my eye on the running machine next to me.

He didn't seem to notice me for some strange reason.

You've done it again so I've corrected it for you :)

Dont Brazilians at City usually end up being duffers?
How can you ask that question if you're a blue?

Erm ... Robinho .... decent first season, whinged and wanted to anywhere apart from Manchester. Jo ..... erm .... 'nuff said. Glauber ... played about 1 game. Elano .... decent first season, thought he was better than City and went for Champions League football and hardly heard on him since. Maicon ... old and useless.

Give me a successful and happy Brazilian at City? lol

This guy's lived in Donetsk for 8 years, so Manchester really shouldn't be an issue, and he has regularly played in the Champions League. I reckon he'll do well for us.

Re: Fernandinho has medical

He's the perfect signing when you think about it

We lack pace and the killer pass in central midfield (outside Yaya), he has both. He's experienced far worse weather than Manchester, and a more hostile environment to the PL. And he will be the most motivated man in the squad for the next season, because he needs to impress to make the Brazil team.

Ignore them Barry. I get cyber-bullied by jim all the time.

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Is his wages really 100k a week or are the media making up stuff as usual?

Just wondering has anyone ever failed a medical?

John Hartson failed one at Rangers and a few English clubs before joining Celtic.

Edit: and Andy Reid failed on at Notts Forest.

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Fernandinho and Navas will correct two very big flaws in City's squad. The Director of Football model is already paying off for us. It'll get criticised by our narrow-minded media ("the manager isn't buying the players!") but have a look at teams like Bayern who work in a similar way. The balance of the squad will soon be perfect instead of this annoying situation we've had for ages now where we've have great quality and depth in one position and none in another. ie. Aguero/Tevez/Dzeko/Mario as our strikers...................... Sinclair as our only natural winger.

Sky are being wankers again, we did not pay £30M for him.

Re: Fernandinho has medical

This promises to be a fantastic signing

I've seen him regularly for Shakhtar Donetsk in Europe and always thought what a player he is

Last season's City team lacked 3 features:

1) pace and width - Sorted Navas

2) power in midfield - remember how Dortmund aside and were a yard faster - Fernandinho Sorts that out.

3) We waste chances - to be addressed. Maybe Navas will re-invigorate Dzeko

providing Hart, Kompany, Yaya and Milner are fit and available then we are going to have an awesome squad next season. Utd and Chelsea already playing catch-up

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Does it matter what Sky say we paid?

Are you going to be thinking about that in the build-up to the start of the season? I'll be thinking of Fernandinho alongside Silva, Aguero, Yaya and Rodwell
