Pls don't slag off ducker he's going off what he's been told by the club and that's that. He's being completely up front and honest about it. As far as the fee, yeah its high but it looks as though he's the type of player whose going to make a massive impact and we got him in early.

Ferran and Txiki are doing business like this to try and balance out the squad and fix the problems within it quickly rather than over time. I trust them regardless of what the fee is they know what they're doing so best to let them do it.

If true, its a shame and TBH a bit of a surprise thought the days of throwing obscene amounts of money on older "good" players was over. Oh well, its not our money and I suppose we have to just sit back and trust in their judgement. On a side note I would hope Pellers has been involved in the transfer dealings and its not all down to the Barca lads and that idiot Marwood.

This and the Navas deal have been worked on for months by the club which is why it has been closed relatively early so I doubt if Pellers has been involved other than perhaps been kept discreetly informed. The transfer dealings and squad restructuring are very much Txiki's domain rather than the managers or head coach. The days of the manager as the sole arbiter on these matters is gone.

So we break the bank in order to get business done early and everyone goes into hysterics again.

Not one decision that has been made by this club has done us any huge harm. Aguero cost us £35m and he delivered the greatest moment of our lives, so who's to say Fernandinho won't do the same? Give it time, then complain if things are going wrong.

Too right - at this stage the fee is an irrelevance (on the basis it's not our money) we can only form a view as to whether he represents value for money when we have seen his contribution over a period of time.

I totally disagree with all this moaning and bitching. Complain about what?? Its not your money, nor mine. If they chose to pay £200-trillion, who cares?? Its not your money!!
