I think Ferna and Aguero have earned the right to make their own decisions and if they want to stay, they should stay.

I think replacing Fernandinho is an incredibly difficult task. He’s everything you want in a captain and still puts in great performances whenever he plays. I hope he stays for as long as he can, both as a player and a coach. These types of people don’t come around all that often and Fernandinho is a model citizen in every sense. A true city legend in my mind.

He HAS to be here next year. Not bothered what role he's in, though player coach would be seemingly the ideal fit, with him plainly playing less and less from now on.

Rodri's form has made this possible, with no questions over his long term future here, giving Fern 1 more year might be doable.

If we win the league with a few games to go, giving Tommy Doyle a few games would be a very good idea to work out how deep we are at the position.

Rodri, Fernandinho, Gundogan and Doyle (if he's good enough) would be more than enough depth.

Without Doyle as an option, we are pretty vulnerable to a Rodri injury with Fern unable to play multiple times a week. You wouldn't want Gundogan and Fernandinho to be the only options for 9 months if Rodri does his knee.
